Antique / Vintage Gas Cap for 1969 1970 Skidoo Ski Doo Snowmobile RARE
Here is a Ski Doo Olympique snowmobile gas cap. It may have been used on the 1969 and 1970 models as well. But this one came off a 1966. These are impossible to find as there were very few made(the snowmobiles) and if you are restoring one of these sleds and missing this gas cap it will stick out like a sore thumb. I have seen many with just a rubber cap on top, but not the right one. There is a long plastic rod that sticks into the small hole inside the cap(see bottom view pic) that is missing, but any thing can be used as it was only used as a dip stick to see if there was fuel in the belly tank. With the exception of a few scratches on the part that slides into the fuel filler neck(this model year was not threaded) it is in great shape. No dry rot and none of the cog gear teeth are broken or missing. Here is a nice old GULF hat that was probably an attendants uniform. Is a navy blue duck material with a quilted nylon interior. Has fold down ear flaps with cotton inside. The patch is cloth also and is sewn on. The tag with the size is missing. Actually cut in half. In very good condition, I'll say used but lightly. I wear a size maybe 7 1/8 and this cap fits. It is hard to find the perfect diameter to measure but picture with rule in it shows it to be about 7 1/2" front to back loosly round. Tag says visor unbreakable. A good hat for show or go. I am auctioning. A brass"Blackmer" visible gas pump hook nozzle with the original brass chain and cap on the end of the spout. It is unusual to locate one of the nozzles complete and this one is extra nice. There are no marks or signs of wear on the nozzle and the cap fits tight on the end of the spout. The number 404D2 is embossed in the cap. The nozzle measures approx. 6" long and the nut on the opposite side of the cap measures approx. 15/16" at the opening, the threads are like new. This thermometer features the image of an Pepsi Cola bottle cap and reads"SAY PEPSI PLEASE" This thermometer has a glass tube thermometer that reads temperatures ranging from-55 to 120 degrees. It measures approximately 27" tall x 7" wide. This thermometer is in nice original condition. The colors are extremely vibrant. It does exhibit loss of paint. VERY SCARCE* OLD VTG 1940's 50's HICKORY STRIPE DENIM DELIVERYMAN GAS STATION ATTENDANT VISOR HAT CAP This offering is for an old circa 1940's to 1950's Blue and White Hickory Stripe Denim Visor Hat or Cap. The hat would likely have been worn by a gas station attendant or delivery man some time in the late 1940's to 1950's. The cap does not have any makers tags. However, the size tag is in place stating the size is a 6 7/8. The cap is in lightly used yet very nice condition. There is some minor soiling to the denim, the black patent leather visor is excellent with no damage and the leather sweat band has several cracks and splits in it as seen in our close-up photo's both above and below. Asstated the size tag gives the size as a 6 7/8, the current inside diameter is app. 21 3/4" which pretty well equals the ... morestated size. There are no rips, tears, splits or repairs to the denim and the hat displays beautifully. The hat is quite scarce and will make an excellent addition to someone's collection, shouldn't it be yours!
