Vintage Blitz Plastic Kerosene Gas Fuel Can ~ 5 gallon ~Old Style Pouring Spout
This bid is for a vintage used Blitz 5 gallon plastic kerosene gas fuel can with the old style self venting pour spout. The can is clean inside and out. It is as close to new as I have seen in a used can. There are no cracks or leaks, the spout is clean and nice with end cap included. The bottom of the can has some surface scratching but the can and spout show very little sign of use. This one is a beauty!

EMERGENCY WWII FUEL CONTAINER- According to research on the internet this may have been a part of the pilot's survival kit. The color suggests it to have been used in the army. Most of the containers I’ve read about contained benzene. The measurements are 12 ¾ inches long. 8 inches wide and 3 ½ inches thick. The metal carry handle is fully intact and in great shape. The screw cap is also metal. The container weighs 5 pounds 4 oz. on my postage scale. There appears to have been hits of either bullets or shrapnel on the container and they have been patched or welded( please see pictures) This emergency fuel container may have been in combat from all appearances. FILTERING FUNNEL, COLEMAN LAMP& STOVE CO, WITCHITA, KANSAS USA NO 0" It looks like copper plated steel construction. There is a small metal screen in the bottom for filtering. Condition: The finish has a lot of wear. There is some rust. The partial label with instructions is dark with age, has spots and is almost ready to come off.
