The spout doesn't have its original cap, but I improvised with another plug. Not faded, in great shape. This item is described as accurately as possible. I had to put a reserve on this kit because I need at least that amount otherwise I will be eating ramen noodles. Bought this kit used for fuel oil burners and gas units. I bought at half of retail back a few years back when things were still going good for me but now I see the price I paid is retail now. Funny how new things lose value. I had one issue paid 300.00 bucks to fix a few years back all receipts are in case. Im a hvac tech now for 16 years unfortunately my back is failing me and im being forced out of a field I love.Just tip i dont know how many times the companies ive worked for didnt send help or somebody else needed that hand truck when I needed but still had to do job welp over the years of man handling condensers compressors furnaces. I had 1 surgery 3 hern discs and pain down my leg til I die. Notice it is complete with the red rubber nozzle plug and the vent system is still in the cap, this part is missing on over half the tanks surviving today! The tank measures 11-1/2" across by 8-1/2" to the top of the cap. The inside is clean galvanized, no rust!

Up for bid is an old empty 2-gallon Eagle red gas can that I found in a barn at an estate sale. It is in fairly good condition for being at least 40-45 years old. But it does have plenty of scratches, missing paint, and'dings' see my photos for detail) I'm not sure, but I believe that yellowish patch on the top of the can is from being welded. This is part original and part reproduction. I purchased this at a local tag sale. The can is a vintage Eagle 1/2 gallon gas/ oil can with a nice spout. It's constructed of thick steel(not cheap tin) I suspect that it was painted red somewhere along the way. It's very clean. You could probably store oil in this little guy. But I think it's really a shelf piece. The Shell labels are stickers. Not original. But they look good. Nice piece to fit in a small open space in your garage. It's 8" tall and about 5" wide.
