An antique circa 1920's Westinghouse Type OB Polyphase Watthour electrical meter. The paper label on the reverse has a number of patent dates the earliest from 1911 the most recent from 1919. The meter measures approximately 5" by 8 3/8 by 8 3/8" deep and weighs a little over 11 lbs. The glass cover is intact and has no chips or cracks or other defects. The meter is in very good cosmetic condition but I have no idea if it's in working order. The paper label on the reverse has chipped edges and is soiled and"Multiply by 200" is hand written on the Westinghouse ID plate. The attached images give an accurate impression of its cosmetic condition. It came out of the attic of an old factory slated for demolition. A great looking early adjustable voltage regulator by Westinghouse. Measuring 6 ½ by 6 inches at the base with a rectangular glass dome. I don’t know what it was used for or if it is functional but looks to be in good condition. No cracks or chips in the glass with some minor storage scratches on the bottom of the dome. Up for bid is a nice vintage Duncan type MF-A watthour meter.It is a 120 volt.15 amp,2 wire meter.serial# 5,883,902.These meters were built from 1934-1954.My serial number log shows this meter was built in mid 1951.With standardization of meters in 1934,duncan chose to replace the MD meter with a new design.Early MF meters had a large chrome-steel magnet assembly,but this was replaced in 1938(S/N 2,650,000) with an alnico magnet assembly which was less suseptable to loss of strength from lightning and power surges.The first MF-S and MF-A meters had painted register faces but these were replaced in 1936 with aluminium faces which were far ess suseptable to fading and peeling from constant exposure to the sun.With serial# 2,600,000,the MF-S and MF-A meters were redisigned to increase the overload capacity from 300% to 400% This meter is good ... moreoverall condition.the paint will need work.apparently the house painters thought it needed a coat of paint too.the glass is in very good condition with little to no scratches.the wireway door is attached.The internal parts are clean and bright.this meter is untested.NOTE-this item is being sold"AS-IS" with no warrenty or guarantty of any kind. Up for bid is very nice vintage Duncan type MD watthour meter.It is a 230 volt.25 amp,3 wire meter.Serial# 1,113,989.These meters were built from 1926-1934.My serial number log shows this meter was built in late 1927.In the late 1920's as the meter companies incorparated improved compensations into meters to retain accuracy over wider temperature and overload ranges,Duncan revised their M2 meter to incorparate these improvements. Up for bid is a nice Vintage Duncan M2 watthour meter.it is a110 volt. 5 amp, 2 wire meter.Serial# 477614.This type meter was built from 1915-1926.My serial number log shows this meter was built in mid-1918.The M2 meter was of a new design and easier to work with than the M and M1 meters.The enclosure and internal frame were now made of cast iron instead of punched steel.The potential coil on this meter was the same as used on the previous M1 meter,the coil having two sections connected in series on a U-shaped core.The light load adjustment was changed to a screw type adjuster that allowed for a more precise adjustment.The M2 used the same lag load adjustment plate as the M1.The M2 came in three sizes,depending on the capacity.5-25A,50-75A,and 100A-400A. Westinghouse Type C Integrating watt meter rated 100 volts at 5 amps. Style 57524 Serial# 61989. It's been set back to zero. Patent dates on it are: May 1. 88(I'm assuming that's 1888) Aug,14, 88; Dec.26, 93; Jan 1, 95: Oct. 22,95 and Aug 8, 95. There is a little slip of paper under the connector boxes; one says"line" and the other"load" so you should be able to tell which connections to make. I don't have a way or know how to test it, so you buy it as it is. There are no cracks or dings on it.

This Vintage Watt Hour Electric Meter was made by Bailey Meter Company by General Electric Company. According to the metal nameplate. It is a Fluid Meter Integrator, Type F I- No. 13107790- Volts 110- NP39846- Cycles 60. On the back of the meter is a paper label giving Patent Numbers of 984297, 1180794, 1080795& 1192680. Marion Meter Tester-Type M 1-1945-Wooden Case-Vintage-Functional-Excellent
At auction is this vintage/antique Marion Meter Tester in its original. Wooden case. Produced by the Marion Electronic Instrument Company, Manchester, N.H. USA. This is a Type M 1 machine with serial number 200, and was calibrated and checked on December 6, 1945. The machine is used to test and calibrate other meters(such as Voltmeters) Instructions are provided as shown in photo 5. To the extent that I could, I have tested this machine. It powers on as designed and the lamps(vacuum tubes) as shown in photo 4 glow. In the foreground of photo 1, you see a test lead with a jack on one end and clips(like alligator clips) on the other. The jack goes into the receptacle shown on the far right of photo 4. The clips are attached to the meter being tested. Instructions for the 4 dials as shown in photo 2 are provided in the case. The box is in outstanding ... morecondition except that the original leather carrying strap is missing(see photo 7) However, the hinges work as designed with the pins present and the clasp fasteners also are in great shape. The four rubber feet on the bottom and on the back are all present. Found at an estate in Salt Lake City.
