This was truly from the days of nikola Tesla and the beginnings of AC power through out the east coast. This meter is fully functional and would make a great addition to any museum or early electrical collection. As all of the westinghouse early instruments. They are enclosed in beautifully finished solid oak boxes. The only fault we could find was that the leather strap that was used to carry it has long since rotted off, however the two chrome end clasps for the strap will be included. An antique circa 1920's Westinghouse Type OB Polyphase Watthour electrical meter. The paper label on the reverse has a number of patent dates the earliest from 1911 the most recent from 1919. The meter measures approximately 5" by 8 3/8 by 8 3/8" deep and weighs a little over 11 lbs. The glass cover is intact and has no chips or cracks or other defects. The meter is in very good cosmetic condition but I have no idea if it's in working order. The paper label on the reverse has chipped edges and is soiled and"Multiply by 200" is hand written on the Westinghouse ID plate. The attached images give an accurate impression of its cosmetic condition. It came out of the attic of an old factory slated for demolition. Antique Vintage 1911 Westinghouse Electric Portable Wattmeter
We are offering this 1911 antique Westinghouse Portable Wattmeter. This wattmeter comes from the earliest of the Westinghouse instruments. This was truly from beginnings of AC power through out the east coast. This meter displays well and would make a great addition to your electrical collection. The only fault we could find was that the oak box has a small crack on top and a larger crack on the bottom. See pics. I have no way to test for functionality and so item is sold as is with no returns.

Wood case has scratches as you can see in the photo's. Baketilte is clean with no cracks. Functional yes in calibration? Original calibration certificate in side lid. Leather handle is gone. NJ 5& 10 Amps Tested and sealed in Chicago by the Illinois Testing Laboratories Inc. Standardized July 22. 1929 This listing is for an antique Weston Model 310 Wattmeter. This is a beautiful antique piece that was designed for testing wattage on electrical equipment. This was made in 1929 by the Weston Electrical Instrument Corporation in Newark. New Jersey. The piece is built into a sturdy wood case(likely oak, but we're not certain) with an aluminum latch and hinges and the original leather carrying handle. The case is marked W16 on the exterior and has the number 100 stamped into the wood on the side of the case. The case opens up ... moreto reveal a panel on the left side with instructions and information on the use of this piece, and the right side is the actual wattage meter mechanism. The mechanism is built into a black metal housing with a number of attachments for testing different types of equipment and a large wattage meter in the center. This is a great antique piece that will be perfect for any vintage electronic equipment collectors! Condition: This piece is antique and used with some wear. The piece is untested and we do not know if it works or not. There is some wear to the wooden case with some scratches. Dings and discoloration from age. The leather handle is brittle. The meter itself appears to be in good condition with some light scratching and tarnishing on the finish. Overall this piece is in nice condition for display and has a nice antique patina that gives it that classic look. Please look closely at the photos and ask us any questions before bidding.
