I can say with confidence this frame is ready to roll and has lots of mileage left in it but. Please understand this frame is used. Constant Girardengo was a professional Italian road and track cyclist from 1912 to 1936. Twice he won the Tour of Italy. Six times the Milan-San Remo and three times and the Giro di Lombardia. He holds the record for victories in Italian c hampionships on the road with nine wins. Girardengo Bicycles was f ounded by the great professional and his two sons Luciano and Ettore in Alessandria. Novi Ligure, Italy. This example appears to be from the 60s and is in decent shape. Everything appears to be original ... morewith the exceptions of the new bar tape, tires and Sugino crankset. The paint still shines nicely but has a fair amount or minor marks and scratches throughout the frame. The chrome on the lugs and some of the parts has surface corrosion(most notably near the head tube and fork) The wheels could use some truing but are free of major bends or cracks. The frame is also free of bends and cracks. The Universal brake hoods are cracked from age and should be replaced. The tires are older but hold air decently. This bicycle has not been checked over by a mechanic and we would recommend a full tune-up before riding. This bike is being sold as-is. Please see photographs for details. Sugino made a couple very high level cranksets in the 70's and 80's. The Super Mighty and the Mighty Competition. They were chosen over the venerable Campagnolo Record regularly, due to their unique styling and great performance. This one is rather unique. It's chainrings are 54t and 48t, very odd sizes. This was called"half step" and was used to provide a very close ratio and easy front shifting. The arms are 171mm, a very odd size! Great condition. Arms have some minor marks. Outside of chainrings have some scratches. Teeths how very little wear. Includes new dust caps, which are plastic and threaded. All original chainring bolts. This auction is for a nice looking pair of Sugino Maxy Cross cranks(170 mm) They were originally blue. But were polished out at some point for a beautiful finish. Just a nice looking set of cranks. I haven't tried to thread on pedals or seat them on a bottom bracket, but added photos so the buyer can see if they're reamed out. They look fine to me, but will honor the buyer if they feel otherwise. I've been hanging onto my old school BMX collection for years. But just lost interest and have been selling it all off. I'll be selling off alot of bikes, parts and accessories as time goes by. Here is a set of sugino ct 175 3 piece cranks from a 1984 haro master. All parts are stamped sugino including the dustcaps. 43 tooth chainwheel and chainring bolts. The chrome does show pantleg rub and some minor pitting, but all threads are great and there is no hobble in the spindle or spindle bosses. Comes with sealed bearings.
