This is an auction for two vintage restaurant ware desert plates from Foster's. The rim design features a detailed floral band in sienna or light rusty brown. They are 6 3/4" across. Each is marked on the back"Scammell's Trenton China" 1923-1954. There is utensil wear with some loss of shine in the center of each plate. There are no chips. Cracks or hairlines. Foster's cafeterias were operated under Bickford's Foster's Lunch System in San Francisco. The last Foster's in San Fran closed in 1972. All measurements are approximate. Whenever possible.
