This item is essentially identical in terms of shape, size, and design to the Pope Scientific No. 8621 dewar flask. The"Thermos" and"Pyrex" brand markings have faded and are barely visible. There are six spots around the flask, each measuring about 1cm square, where the internal shiny metal coating seems to be worn away or something. I'm not sure how to explain this, they're on the inside of the hollow vacuum area, such that when I rub my finger on them, they cannot be felt at all. One of the spots can be seen in the picture, next to ... morethe Pyrex brand marking. These spots to not seem to effect the integrity or functionality of the flask in any way. The rubber coating on the bottom of the glass does not cover it all the way. I don't know if it peeled off at some point, or if it was just made that way. Both tanks are set up for low pressure liquid use, although if you dont have a need for a high flow rate you could always use them for gas use as well without the need for a vaporizer. This is a used. But perfectly functioning, MVE Cryogenics LAB-30 Dewar for Liquid Nitrogen containment. It is a 30 Liter capacity vessel. There are obvious physical signs of wear on the outside of the vessel ONLY. Included is the ring which is mounted on top that allows you to hang up to 6 rods/canes from(rods/canes not included) The rod mounting ring can easily be removed by pressing the bearing while lifting up. Also included is a foam top(not OEM but it does the job) All of this can be seen in the photos above. This Dewar has been evaluated& tested to ensure that it does. Indeed, have a proper holding time.
