Vintage Antique Silver Swan Salt Cellar Movable wings 935 silver Salt Dip OLD 4"
This auction is for a vintage antique swan salt cellar. It measures about 4" long. The wings are hinged(they move very well) and move to reveal the salt cellar. One wing is marked 505 in a circle. I don't know what this hallmark means. The same wing is also marked with the hallmark 935 which means it is 935/1000 parts silver. Sterling is actually 925/1000 parts silver, so this is a slightly higher grade of silver. 935 is Continental Non US silver. I do not know the country of origin this piece is from or the age. The only defects I can see are a small bubble in the glass itself just under the wing. When you run your finger over it there is nothing there, it is in the glass& one small chip on base of glass on bottom of swan. See pictures for up close details of these issues. Victorian Sterling Silver Engrave Decorated Retractable Ink Dip Pen& Pencil circa 1890 This Antique Retractable Ink Dip Pen& Pencil measures approximately 4 1/8 inches or 106 mm in length from the top or lid to the end of its body when the pen and pencil are fully retracted and it is 5 1/ 8 inches or 13 0 mm in length from the top of the body to the end of the pencil when it is fully extended. It is 5 3/8 inches or 1 37 mm in length from the end of the pen nib to the top of the body when the internal ink dip pen is fully extended and it is just under 5/8 of an inch or 1 5 mm across the width of the amethyst set top or lid. The ink dip pen and pencil is made from a sterling silver body in a square tubular shape that has been superbly bright cut engrave decorated and it has a threaded upper body with a screw down relief decorated silver ... morelid that has a circular cut amethyst or coloured glass panel set into its top. The outer body has a raised relief decorated sliding toggle on each side that each extend and retract its internal mechanical worm drive pencil or ink dip pen and there is a shaped cartouche on one side of the upper body that Not been engraved with a previous owners initials or monogram all as photographed below and although I have not found any silver marks as is very typical with these antique items the outer body has been tested and it is guaranteed as being made from sterling silver, I estimate that this superb quality ink dip pen and mechanical pencil was made circa 1880- 1900. The condition is used and near Mint for its age. The Pen and Mechanical Pencil are Working Perfectly. The pen and pencil has No large Dents. No Holes, No Splits, No Cracks and No Repairs that I can find. This is a wonderful early crystal figural swan double salt dip/cellar or salt/pepper dip with wings that spread to reveal the divided bowl. The swan is faceted around the sides. The wings spread open. And one side swings more freely than the other side. It is marked on the neck and on the underside of the wing"835 S&P(or S&F) I believe this may be German in origin, but could not find the silversmith. It dates to the late 1800's but I am sure with a little research it may be possible to find the exact date and is in good condition with no damage or repairs. Cut Glass Inkwell & Pen Stand with Patent Ceramic Pen Dip
A heavy lead crystal. Cut glass inkwell with pen stand plinth. The lid is secured by a brass collar which detaches for cleaning via a simple, efficient bayonet fitting. It incorporates an unusual patent feature of a ceramic pen well dipper, whereby as the lid is lifted, it is drawn up to allow access to a small amount of ink, rather than risk flooding the pen nib. There are two bruises, under one corner and along one side, but no serious damage or repair. weighs 600 grams. Expert scrutiny has advised me that the"bruise" on a lower corner had been detached and glued back. The bruise on the side pen rest has not become detached. While not normally prepared to buy and sell damaged items(particularly glass) I was so intrigued with this unusual dip mechanism. That I thought it justified making an exception.

This is for a very stylish and very clean art deco German silver and guilloche enamel desk set from the early 1900s. It s a super looking old set and its in really nice well preserved condition. The box is moulded to fit the pieces and there is a dip pen. Seal, mechanical propelling pencil and wick or pen trimmer. Each piece has the same engine turned design with bands of cobalt blue enamel running along it. The silver is marked 830S and all the pieces are all in absolute excellent condition with no dings dents anywhere and all enamel intact. The pencil propels perfectly when the end is turned and it is fitted with lead. The trimmers snap in and out perfectly just as they are supposed to do, and i will enclose a nib for the pen. If you require anymore photo's please ask. The only wear is the little tear in the silk hinge cover of the ... morebox, thats all its otherwise superb. There are 11 of these shell salt cellars. Each has a rose on it. Colors of the roses are pink.Blue, purple orange and yellow. Looks like it was originally a set of 12 and one is missing. Dainty Gold/White Porcelain Seashell Open Salt Dip, Cellar, Dish!
This cute little salt dish stands 7/8" tall and measures just 2" in diameter. Made of porcelain. It is shaped like a shell. The outside is glossy white while the rim and interior are finished in me tallic gold. It stands on th ree bun-shaped feet, and t his piece is in excellent condition with no nicks. Chips or flakes. Lovely Edwardian Red Leather Writing Case 1910 Unusually there is no guesswork in dating this lovely red leather writing case- it contains the original printed calendar for 1910. It is in engraved patterned red leather on the outside with chromed clasp and opens to reveal a soft kid leather lining incorporating pockets for writing pad and envelopes. Calendar and an Eagle Pencils Co London dip-pen with Joseph Gillott's No 4 ½ Lettering Pen Nib. This lovely piece measures 8½" x 10" when folded and is in remarkable condition for its 100 years. The outside in in very good condition and the inside is good apart from a tear in the side of one pocket. The calender is complete with 6 double sided cards. There is no key.
