Offered here is a wonderful vintage German 800 silver soup/punch ladle. It was made in Germany by Wilkens between 1900 and 1940 and is marked as such on the back along with the 800 and appropriate marks. There are some very minor dings to the bowl. But nothing offensive. I mention them only for accuracy. This is a very hefty piece that measures approximately 13" long. It is monogramed. Please see my pictures as they are part of the description and. As always, if you have any questions please ask. I have received several questions about the weight of this nice ladle. Not owning a jewelry scale. I tried to fit it on my small postal scale. It was difficult to get the long piece completely on the small scale to get a true weight, but the best I could get for a reading was approx. 6.8 ounces. This vintage serving spoon. Or ladle was hand-fashioned and marketed by Sanborns of Mexico. The maker's signature was rarely placed on items sold by Sanborns, so we can't identify the maker of this spoon. The spoon is 7 3/8 inches long, not including the portion curled under, and is in excellent condition. The bowl of the spoon is hand-hammered and it is approxomately 7/8 inches deep. There are no monograms, wrinkles, bends or breaks. The Sanborns Hallmark and"Sterling" are impressed in the back of the handle. This item weighs 2.7 ounces. This item is believed to date from the 1940s or 1950s.

Antique Glasgow Soup Tureen Vegetable Dish With Ladle
Up for bid is a rectangular soup tureen with ladle. The tureen measures 6 3/8" by 4 1/4" at the opening with handles extending about 7/8" from each end. Without the lid. It is 2 1/2" tall and is about 4 1/2" with the lid. The ladle is about 7" long and about 3" in diameter. There is a small chip in the corner of the tureen where the lid fits on. Also. It appears there have been repairs to a small corner of the lid and to the ladle as seen in the pictures. There is an imprinted mark on the bottom of the ladle and the bottom of the tureen but all I can make out from it is the word. Glasgow" I don't know anything about the age of this piece since I cannot find anything like it on the internet, but it does show very distinct crazing.

English sterling silver and glass mustard pot made in London in 1814. The pot has an English sterling silver mustard ladle from 1810. The pot is done in a classic form and is raised on four bun or ball feet. The hinged lid has a thumb rest and the front is engraved with a great crest of an armored forearm/hand holding up an arrow. The pot has its original, cobalt blue thick glass liner. The pot and its lid are marked with the lion passant for sterling silver and a date letter T for the year 1814. The side of the pot is also marked with the crowned leopards head for London and a duty mark of King George IIIs head. The makers mark on the pot is too worn to determine. ANTIQUE FRENCH STERLING CARDEILHAC PUNCH LADLE Description For your consideration is an antique Cardeilhac French sterling punch ladle. This ladle measures 12-1/2” long. Has a round bowl of 3-3/8” X 1” deep and weighs 240 grams(7.7 troy ounces) It is decorated with raised Louis XVI garlands of foliage and floral design and is in very good condition with no signs of wear: dings, tarnish, monogram or monogram removal. The inside bowl has the Minerva and Ernest Cardeilhac’s punch marks. Please see pictures) We describe our items to the best of our abilities. Huge Antique Francis I Sterling Punch Ladle Old Marks 240.9 grams
If this is your pattern. You want this piece. Hard to find in this condition. This is a very large all sterling punch ladle in the Francis 1st pattern by Reed and Barton. It weights 240.9 grams, over 7 ounces and measures 12" long and 3 3/4" bowl. It bears the old hallmarks and Pat June 25.07. It is in very good condition with only surface scratches, no pitting, no dings or deep scratches. The detail is very deep and crisp unlike the newer pieces of Francis 1. No monogram on this piece.
