EXCELLENT Black Walnut 1950’s 6 Pc Bedroom Set; Davis Cabinet Co Lillian Russell
Welcome to Beachdude. Inc. This auction features a six-piece bedroom set of“Lillian Russell” style solid American black walnut furniture made by Davis Cabinet Company of Nashville. Tennessee. There is a VERY achievable, reasonable reserve on this set(lower than anything else listed at this time) Feel free to inquire. As shown. The ORIGINAL FINISH, EXCELLENT-CONDITION set consists of a matched pair of single beds, a nightstand, highboy dresser, side-by-side chest dresser, and a matched mirror. The headboards of the beds are approximately 46” high at the highest point and(like the footboards) are 42” wide(beds include original siderails, of course) Nightstand measures just over 22” wide by about 16¼” deep, with a height of nearly 31” The highboy dresser is 38” wide and about 20” deep; height of 46” The double-wide dresser measures 60” ... moreacross, 21½” deep and about 41” high. Finally, the mirror over the double-wide dresser measures 39” high by 56” wide. The overall piece is 1½” thick” and is in flawless condition without any odd spots, fogging, breaks, chips or cracks. It’s heavy, as are all of these pieces– framed mirror is nearly 110 pounds and the double-wide dresser is about 250 pounds. To say that this furniture is well-built is the equivalent of remarking that the Empire State Building is in New York City– it’s all obvious. There is an original little booklet that comes with the furniture(please see photos) Detailing the craftsmanship. What meets the eye is that it’s an impossible“find” in new furniture; being made of heavy old black walnut from the U.S. As shown, all of the drawers feature painstaking detail in the dovetail-joined craftsmanship. The drawer pulls and decoration on the beds feature a grape and leaves motif. This particular auction offering is close to my heart. As my family is the original family of ownership of this set. Master's bedroom set, late18th.early 19th Century, 6 piece, hand carved
This Irish Master's bedroom suite; consists of a full-sized bed; shaving chest and mirror; free standing dressing mirror an armoire and night stand. Bed is unique with hollow carved spiral serpentine posts with large corn squash type foot balls on the foot board. Headboard is carved in a Celtic diamond motif with Serpentine carving in the posts. Oak construction with forged square nuts on the bolts holding the bed rails. Irish shaving chest and wall mirror are oak in construction with Diamond motif and Serpentine carving that matches the bed. Wall mirror and freestanding mirror. Irish Armoire with a Celtic Cross inside a four leaf clover carved medallion design. Size 6' 7" feet tall x 5.2" feet wide and 18 1/2 inches deep. add 8 inches to the width for the top and bottom crown and base parts) Finish has evolved into a lovely ... morepatina that brings great caricature to all pieces as it fades from dark, timeless wood to the light(nearly amber) background wood showing ages of dusting and polishing! All original nails, hinges and screws, bolts and nuts, hand forged and intact. Night stand is the same design, and has a unique lock(no key, but it's unlocked) with lever action. Dimensions: 30" tall, 22" wide, 22" deep. Obviously, after possibly 200+ years of constant use and 3 crossings of the Atlantic ocean, fair wear and tear come to surface. i.e. The bed posts have been bradec to keeep it from wiggling anymore and abusing the hand cut bolts and nuts/dowels. Same for interior of armoire. Armoire has key, but not the original. Both mirrors have the usual"bubbles" of silver delamination on the edges, but that's part of the charm! Bombay Cottage French Provincial 6 Pc Bedroom Set Fagone Furniture San Francisco
This auction is for a 6 piece bedroom set from the 1970's- 1980's. It was ordered and purchased from the Figone Fine Furniture Store. On Stockton St in San Francisco. This was a family owned and operated business from 1947 to 1987. They carried only the best.and this set is a perfect example. It is a Country French Provincial style with each piece showing the Bombay front and sides. Bombe is a French term for any rounded or convex piece of furniture. The word bombe means. Literally, bomb-shaped, bulging' or'curving outward. This is a solid, heavy wood. All of the ornamentation is made of wood.not some plaster material. All the joining is tongue and groove. All the drawers have smooth glides. I have included pictures of the finish and one close up of the ornamentation on the mirror. There are no missing pieces of wood and no ... moregouges or chinks. There is some wear to the outside finish that I will talk about as I discuss each piece. All measurements will be taken at the fullest point. The headboard is for a king bed. Measures 85" across and 66" tall. It is in beautiful condition. There is no footboard.just the headboard. The dresser and mirror are separate. The mirror hangs from the wall and is in beautiful condition. Measures 66" wide and 47 1/2" tall. The dresser is 81" long and 23" deep and 36" tall. The surface of the dresser has some minor wear on the edge and has some areas that are eaten into the finish. Please see pic#5 with my hand in it. To see the feet of the dresser. Please go to pic#8 and look at the nightstand. You can see the tongue and groove detail in pics 3 and 4. There are 2 nightstands. They measure 30" wide. 21" deep and 26" tall. Here's a beautiful Heywood Wakefield 6 piece bed room set. Only made in 1941 and 1942. It's in the Champagne finish. This is a hard to find set. You get a vanity with a swivel stool in original fabric that is in beautiful condition. Not ripped or worn. Vanity has a mirrow. Glass top and a mirrowed back. Double bed headboard, foot board and side rails. One night stand. It has some wear on the top. Look at the pictures. Man's chest. A woman's dresser with a mirrow on it. The mirrows don't have any silvering and are nice and clear. The set does have some scratches but overall still in very good condition. This is an absolutely beautiful mahogany bedroom set made by Dixie Furniture. Includes two twin beds(complete) Dresser, bedside table, a magnificent bureau and framed mirror. The entire set is in very good to excellent condition. All-wood construction with dovetailed drawers- a very high quality set. There's a scratch on the top of the bureau that's been re-stained and is essentially invisible. The bedside table has a"wear ring" that a good furniture rejuvenator would probably remove. These are located in Southwest Washington State so if the buyer is somewhere out of the area they will be responsible for arranging the pickup and shipment of the set. REDUCED AGAIN. Beautiful new 6 piece QUEEN SIZE BEDROOM SUITE in the LORRAINE Pattern by the WHITE FURNITURE CO. of Mebane and Hillsborough. North Carolina. The White motto was“Excellence in Design and Craftsmanship Since 1881” The South's Oldest Makers of Fine Furniture.Since 1881" The plant closed in 1993. Soon after the White family sold the Company. This bedroom suite was found. Still in the original cartons, in a warehouse in Mebane. It was never sold or used. We have removed the boxes from all of the pieces except for the tri-fold mirror(in the brown box behind the dresser and bed in the pictures) We were afraid it would get broken. Included are a large 6 drawer Bombe Chest; a 9 drawer Triple Dresser; a Tri Fold Mirror; a Queen Size wood panel Headboard; and two(2) Night Stands. White's suggested retail price for this beautiful ... moresuite was over $12.000. The finish color appears as a hand-rubbed slightly mottled light cream color. Pictures of the chest on chest. The dresser top with the ash tray on it and the headboard behind it, and the small section of the dresser top with the"quarter" coin are a little lighter, but close to the true color of the bedroom suite. Color in some of the pictures was distorted by"warm" overhead flourescent lighting in our showroom. All 6 pieces are in excellent- like new condition except for 2 tiny. Almost invisible, factory scratches on the dresser top. The scratches were found when we opened the carton. They were factory repaired. But due to age and normal shrinkage, they are visible. The scratches are so small that w e had a hard time making a picture that would show them. The picture included in this listing makes the scratches look worse than they are. Both scratches can be easily touched up by a furniture restorer or artist or they can be covered with a scarf. This is a beautiful solid cherry Lillian Russell bedroom suite with twin beds that was manufactured in May 1965 by the Davis Cabinet Company in Nashville. TN. The set includes the twin beds, a chest of drawers with a removable mirrored glove/jewelry box, a dresser with mirror and 2 separate removable glove boxes for the top, a lyre style night stand and a side chair. I will also include the twin mattresses and box springs and the coverlets with pillow shams and dust ruffles. This has been in my family for many years and has been very well taken care of with minimal wear and tear. There are scratches on the top of the dresser caused by the glove boxes sitting on top but they are covered when the boxes are in place. The suite is made of solid cherry and the construction is very solid. The drawers are solid and made with dove-tail construction.

This was the most sought after dresser style for a bedroom in America in the mid Century. Built extremely well of good solid wood construction and burnished brass handles. French Provincial Dresser with 5 drawers. The dresser is Ivory with gold trim. Lots of storage in a 61 inch long dresser. The height is 33 inches and the depth is 21 inches at the widest. The Mirror is 45 inches x 37 inches and hangs from the wall like a picture frame. The middle drawers are 9 inches inside width and the longer drawers are 20 1/2 inches inside width. This is a LOT of storage and quite the statement piece. The drawers are clean. This dresser has great bones for restoration or use it as is. The mirror is in excellent shape with no cracks or chips. Welcome to another never_enufstuf listing! I have available a vintage 6 piece bedroom set made by Drexel Heritage Furniture. The set is from the Venetian collection produced sometime in the 1960s. The collection featured an Italian Provincial design with gorgeous lines as seen in the shape of the armoire. Which is reminiscent of the furniture in Beauty and the Beast. As well as the deep serpentine dresser front and scallop of the headboard. All pieces are antiqued Ivory with a pale yellow tone with antiqued gold trim and adorned with pink. Green, blue and gold floral sprays. hardware is ornate and finished in white wash and antique gold. Both armoire and mirror have a shell center feature. Armoire can be purchased alone for $1000.00.
