Vintage Round Antique Horse Hair Brush Unique Rare Barn Find
For sale is a unique round Horse Hair Brush. Brush is about 2.3/4 inches at its widest and its overall length is about 15,1/2 inches long including the handle. I would guess that it was used for cleaning or scrubbing something. I think the handle is oak. This is in very good shape and would be a nice rare find for a collection piece. I have not found another one like it anywhere. Look at the pictures and ask any questions you may have.

J W Fiske Signed Cast Iron Metal Stable Barn Tack Saddle Bracket Horse Saddle
I was advised that these are old barn/ stable brackets for holding a saddle. This is a lot of three- RARE LOT- ALL ORIGINAL- J. W. Fiske N.Y.cast iron. Possibly saddle brackets with their original grain painted wood. The lower area may be for hanging a bridal or other tack/ horse related leather. The fancy metal bracket back is 14 3/4 inches by about 3 1/2 at its widest point and resembles the shape of some primitive hinge shapes. Each cast iron bracket is cast signed J.W. Fiske N.Y. and on the opposite side 327. The wood on the top for the saddle is 20 1/4 inches on 2 of the holders and 20 1/2 inches on one. The top piece of wood is triangle shaped. The round bottom wood is 4 1/4 inches long and about 2 3/4 inches wide, Little round fancy end is intact on each. Appears to be the original coat of black paint over a red base on the metal. ... morePossible they were repainted but I do not think so. The wood is all grain painted and is clearly original. There are some signs of age and use but they are in very nice condition. J. W. Fiske is famous for the manufacture of weathervane and garden cast urns, stable and barn cast iron pieces. Antique Copper Horse Weathervane. Weather vane. This came off of a very old barn that is well over a hundred years old.Dont know age of weathervane,looks very old. It measures from the base plate 45' tall to top of horse. Copper pole that horse sits on is 30 1/2' long. Horse is 29 1/2' long 13 1/2' high 1' to 1 1/2' wide. The horse is loose from the pole and needs to be solderd and one of his ears are missing. The letters measure 18' across. Letters might be brass but do have same pateener as copper parts. WOW. Beautiful all complete and original Aluminum Horse Weathervane. Just removed from a Barn here in Ohio. The balls are gold painted but are also aluminum. It comes apart easily and goes back together the same. It also has the mounting base on the shaft. Very Hard to find all complete. It is roughly 40" tall at it's tallest point x 33" wide. Antique Folk Country Painted Horse Stable Wall Divider Equestrian Barn
This is a very unusual piece in the form of a stable wall divider that was folk painted on both sides of the top rail. The wall is two wooden boards painted red with black fancy painting on the top board. The boards are holding up iron rods that serve as the divider. This came out of Virginia and the age is difficult to tell but the iron has a wonderful old patina. The wood is original but cannot determine when the painting was done. Best guess sometime in the early to mid 20th century. We have built a stand to hold the wall for display and it is 120 5/8" long 51 3/4" tall on the stand it is 56 3/8" tall. Up for bids at auction: Up for bids is this antique Horse-Drawn Buggy Seat. Circa 1880's-1920's) This beautiful old seat is in great condition and constructed of very solid wood along with cast iron and wrought iron hardware. It has a beautiful old patina filled with deep wood graining. Old nail holes and is ready for display anywhere. Overall. The seat measures 41 inches long, 20 inches wide and 22 ½ inches tall. The legs that support the seat are 6 inches tall and the sitting area measures roughly 32 by 15 inches square. As you can see in the pictures. There is a newer piece of wood in the center of the seat. It is removable- this is the area that would have had a padded. Upholstered sitting cushion. The previous owner had planned on converting the seat into a bench and had cut this piece of wood as a base for a new padded ... moreseat. It measures roughly 27 by 10 ½ inches and basically all this is required now to finish it is some foam padding and fabric. The back. The arm rests, everything- is solid and has no wobble or flex. Young Chapman Boy w/Horse/Hay Barn.....1938 Photo..Chapman Farm Ovid, NY....#489
Driving a horse fork means.the horse is hooked up to a long rope that goes up to a pulley in the top of the barn. The other end of the rope is hooked to a horse fork. The horse fork is lowered into a load of hay grabbing a pile and then the ho rse moves forward to raise the hay into the hay mow or loft and dropped. There was a track in the top of the barn. So you could move the pile of hay to the loft by pulling a rope. There was a release lever to drop the hay.When my husband was young he worked on his father's farm and it was his job to jump on the hay to pack it down. Before another pile came up to him.this fine photo brought a lot of good memories to him over the years. This 4.5" x 2.75" photo. Along with others I will be listing, w ere taken on the Chapman Farm e ast of Ovid. NY. All are original and in fine- excellent ... morecondition. No bends or tears unless note d. Antique Leather Horse Collar Brass knobs Hames Cowboy Western Rustic Barn Decor
This is an old antique horse or pony collar that has a pair of metal hames with brass knobs on the end. The brass knobs have a nice patina. But could be polished if desired. The hames are marked US Hame Co. 522. They have a light scrape mark on them, but I am thinking that you may be able to remove this. I am not sure though, so please enlarge the pictures to see what you think. The collar measures about 21-3/4" tall and is about 15" wide and about 5" thick or so. It does has a some holes in it, one has the sawdust showing) as hopefully the pictures will show, and there is a place on the bottom where the seam stitching came loose a lilttle, but is not noticable at all unless you lift it and look for the tear. It also has some shallow cracks or crazing in the leather on the inside, but I don't think that they go all of the ... moreway through the leather. I think this adds to it character. The metal is rusty, and there are two places where the metal has worn through from years of use. I have lightly cleaned this, but you may want to clean it more, it is up to you. It is still a very nice collar, and given it's age is still in descent shape. This certainly is rustic looking and would be very nice hanging on your western decor wall. Antique. Leather horse Collar complete with original hardware and Brass Knobbed Harness Hames. From the research I have done, this appears to be a Circa 1880's-1920's antique. This old collar hung on my mother's wall(indoors) for years in Arizona. My mother always kept it oiled w/ a natural leather protector, but since her death, it has accumulated dust. I gently wiped it down but I know if oiled again, it would regain its rich vibrant luster. There is a natural patina that has formed on the top portion of the mirror but this only adds to the natural beauty and rustic look you want to display. The only unatural flaw is that there is a small chip in the very top of the mirror that is almost unnoticable(see pics) There is a reinforced heavy-duty wired already installed to the back for hanging. US Army Calvary Horse bridle, bit M1859, military, barn find
Pictures say it best. From the estate of a military family that operated a horse and pony business. Buckles. Leather existent but in poor condition. Rosettes and bosses problem free. I did not clean anything. Just put neatsfoot oil on the leather. Leather cracks and breaks as shown in the pictures. There are two buckles. If there was a third attached to leather; it is gone with the rest of the leather. As far as I could tell in my search: the bit is a M1859. The bosses are fine. One rivit is broken. The rosettes are completely problem free. Uncleaned and unpolished. The bit is rusty and shows no sign of chrome or other treatment. But in good shape for it's age. Unsanded or treated by me. RARE MUSEUM QUALITY CIVIL WAR RELICS FROM WAR HORSE HARNESS BRONZE BRASS IRON BALL HAMES ANTIQUE SCRAPPY LEATHER TACK EQUESTITARION I have a huge pile of this old civil war era remnants from war horses that was found in an old barn. A US Brass button was found with this pile on another scrap piece of leather which will be put in my next auction. That is what gave me the hint that this was war horse material. THE US BUTTON IS NOT IN THIS AUCTION. I suspect that the entire lot found was that of a collector. I do not know much about war horses. But can tell you some of what is found in this lot. Many of the pieces are marked solid bronze. You can get an idea of what is here by looking at the pictures. Farm Fresh. Antique Oval Curry Comb. Looks better in person than my pics show. It is also easier to read in person. Marked North& Judd. Anchor Brand. Duplex Curry Comb. New Britain Conn. I believe the strap(or what's left of it) is original to the piece. In the center diamond it is stamped W 8? large E or F smaller ET. On the right it looks like DUPLEX. I couldn't find any others with this strap. Coming to you as found. Dirt and all. I will combine shipping on most items. Most of my treasures are found at Estate Sales and Resale Shops. I cannot say what type of environment the items have been in smoking/nonsmoking/pets/no pets. We do allow smoking in our home. If this is a problem for you. I would rather loose a sale than have an unhappy customer.
