Structural STEEL I BEAMS 40' Barn House Building Material MAKE OFFER!!
Two steel I beams. This was once the same beam that was approximately 40' in length. It was cut down as we were going to use it as the main ceiling beam in our barn but we found something a bit smaller and more manageable. The ends of the beams have a small kink in the webbing that only goes a couple feet back. These were loaded by an excavator and the clamping force was a bit much when he grabbed the end. You can either cut off the couple feet or heat it up and press out the kink. We've done it before. Its not very difficult. Im not sure what the boards were used for on the top but they are simply fastened with nuts and bolt. They can be removed very easily. But there are a few rust spots on each of the beams, as you can see in the photos. Each beam weighs close to 700 pounds(22 lbs. per linear foot before galvanizing) Long ago. Each beam had other steel pieces welded to it in three or four places(in 4 places on 8 of the beams and in 3 places on the other 2) Those pieces were cut off and the remaining stubs have rusted. VTG Harris Structural Steel Co Yellow Hard Hat Helmet 1950/60s Skullgard? Hat is coming directly from a Jersey City estate. It is marked on the front Harris Structural Steel Co. It is made from a material that looks like carbon fiber. I found other hats labeled skullgard which looked similar. I do not know who made this hat. There is a small"S" on the front of the brim. Condition: General wear throughout. There is chipping to the edge of the brim, wear to the decal, has no liner. Measures 10 1/2" across x 12 1/4" from front to back. Head opening is approx. 7" W x 8 3/4" front to back.

The condition is good. It appears to have had some use as the wick has some browning. But does not appear to have excessive use. It needs a flint and fuel as it does not spark.
