Vintage DE LAVAL STERLING MILKER w/ Pulsator & Steel Bucket/Pail ALL ORIGINAL
For your bidding consideration is a cow milker.This is a vintage milker. I am not at all an expert on these old milkers. But I believe it is what they call a"vacuum milker" or pneumatic milker because it uses no electricity or machinery to pump milk. It is a De Laval and is there Sterling model, second only to the Magnetic Speedway milker. I believe it is a 6 gallon. These are integral pieces of farm equipment and are very expensive items, due to the high-quality materials and their reliable function. This milker is probably 50 to 60 years old and could still be used just as it was the day it was bought! The milker is all original and even includes the original pulsator on top of the lid. Alot of these are missing on vintage pieces. The milker's pail/bucket is in excellent condition. There is no rust and the inside and bottom ... moreare both solid. The original octopus-looking udder attachment is included, although all the tubing will need replaced and reattached to the piece. Overall, it is beautiful and the only thing this milker appears to need is new tubing and some minor tlc to make it work. The piece is without any major damages or issues that I can see. There is a repair to note, the handle has been soldered back on at some point, which I guess is common. It would endure alot of stress when the large bucket was carried full of milk and these eventually failed and many were reattached by the owners. Also, I believe this needs two little pipes going to the pulsator. The handle is solid and the milker is a truely stunning piece. Selling"as is" needs some minor restoration. The pump power system has a safety timer and power switch, which have to both be on for operation. The regulator is a relieving device, which provides a stable vacuum level of 0 to at least 15 inches of Hg for use in traditional“Chinese Cupping” which needs close attention, ... morehence the“Red” colored manifold.The Pulsator is a reconditioned Suge Electronic Milking Machine Pulsator from the 1960’s. The symmetrical(50/50% pulse rate can be adjusted by use of the electronic speed controller to adjust the pulse rate switch to a range of about 15 to 240 pulses per minute independently of the level of vacuum. The Pulsator’s output is connected to a two-port manifold and also supplied are four disconnect able double male hoses, which will connect to most high-end vacuum cups on the market and a fifth open-ended hose with a 3/8-inch adaptor for“Chinese Cupping” cylinders. To use the“C Cups” there is a“Red” manifold with constant regulated vacuum. There are three polycarbonate bar glasses with valved female disconnect fittings. Here for your consideration is a SURGE milker pulsator. The only marking on this is SURGE S157027. This pulsator looks to be in very good condition. The slide pieces under the lid move back and forth freely and feel like they are building pressure. I really don't know much about these things and am telling what I see, it may need a rebuild. I am listing the lid in another auction and would be glad to combine shipping. Thanks for looking!
