This auction is for a Holstein cow and calf which were advertisements for De Laval cream separators. I believe they date from the late 1920's or early 1930's. The cow is approximately 5 1/2 inches long and approximately 3 1/2 inches tall. As you can see from the pictures. The cow has a horn missing, some brown spots on the front and back, and the legs have some bends in them. The advertising on the back is in very good condition. The calf is in very good condition with minor scratches and some brown spotting on the back. The advertising is in very good condition. It is approximately 2 1/2 inches by 2 inches. The bowl(the disc stack one)comes with 30 discs and the lower disc as well as the disc washer(the handle) The supply can(the big bowl) is complete with its faucet. Has what appears to be epoxy arond the faucet ring. The float is in great shape. The milk regulating cover has a couple dings, but is solid and sealed. The cream cover and skim milk cover(the spouts) both need a little attention on the seams, they could use re-tinning or epoxied. Really a nice set overall. This old stand was a barn find from an old farm estate in Southern Iowa and is in great condition with no cracks, breaks or damage. It still carries much of its original paint and has been rubbed with an all-natural beeswax to protect its beautiful old iron patina. It stands 26 ½ inches tall, and measures roughly 10 by 13 inches on top. The legs slope outward and measure 18 inches apart and 12 ½ inches wide at the floor. It stands solid with no wobble and would make a great base for an anvil or an Antique Industrial styled table. There are pre-drilled holes on all four corners of the feet as well as holes at the top. This was found in a attic. That has been untouched for about 75 yrs. After extensive research I know it is RARE, I believe it dates from around 1910-1919. It has some damage but the main body of the ad is in super condition, probably because it was rolled up and untouched, the edges has some damage, I have tried to take close up pictures of all the damage, and the close make it look worse than it is. ANTIQUE SEARS FARM MASTER CREAM SEPARATOR & CREAM TROUGH ?
This is a must have for the collector. My research tells me that Sears quit making these in 1947. On one of my antiquing trips several summers ago. I found this great old red cream separator along with a red trough that I know nothing about. The gears are still oiled and the shaft moves freely and spins very fast when the handle is turned. It will move fast enough I imagine to separate cream if all the parts were present. The original label that said Farm Master has dissolved and a tiny speck of it is somewhat still visible in the second photo. I have not a clue as to what the large red porcelain trough/cream container is. That is pictured along with it or where it came from. I cannot find any information on that at all. My guess is that they were sold separately. The trough is porcelain& it must hold about 4 or 5 gallons it has holes ... morein it and the porcelain has certainly seen better days. So I am just including it in the sale. It is the same red color that the separator is. The trough probably had a lid at some point in time. I had this great old piece of history displayed high atop my kitchen cabinets for some time. This is a must have for your country décor or old farm equipment collectors. Sorry. No name on any of this. I've seen John Deere parts that look similar. It all looks very good, and useable. The big strainer has a little rust on the inside, some of the stainless pieces have some slight discoloration. The big pot is 8" high. 12" across. The handle is cast iron, weighs 4 lb, it's 12" long, wood handle is 4 1/4" the 3 items in pic 5, the one on the left is marked 518, the middle one has some black inside, looks like weld, but I don't see anything broken. the one on the right is marked 25743. the hangar thing has 40 stainless dishes, they are 4 3/4" across. has a brass collar. The 2 drain type trays are 6 3/4" x 13" 2 hubcap looking things are 4" marked 21861. the one strainer plate is slightly bent. the last part with the threaded end is marked-A 4189204. Chicago- Instruction Book This manual has the document MC-D. 547A. 10M-4-4-27 printed on the lower margin of the front cover which I take to indicate a 1927 publication date. This manual has information on McCormick Deering Primrose Cream Separator Models Nos. 3 and 4.
