I hatch out 100+ chicks each year and only keep the very best birds for breeding. I am currently using 2 blue laced roosters and one splash laced rooster. Most of the pullets/hens are blue laced. There are also 2 black laced and 2 splash laced hens/pullets. You may hatch blue laced. Black laced or splash laced birds from these eggs. I will carefully package your eggs to give them the best chance possible during shipping. That being said I have no control over what happens to the eggs once they leave my hands. Shipping can be very damaging to the eggs and shipped eggs normally do not hatch as well as eggs that were not shipped. Dual purpose breed for the production ... moreof meat and eggs. Wyandottes are generally gentle and calm birds. They are a medium slow growing breed, taking up to 18 months to fully mature. This is one of the best breeds for cold winter climates as their low profile rose combs are not prone to freezing and their heavy feathering and solid body keep them comfortable even in harsh winter conditions. Wyandotte hens can weigh from 6.5 to 9 pounds. They are very good layers of medium to large light brown eggs. They are a great choice for a winter layer since they are not put off by the cold like many other breeds are. Wyandotte hens are excellent setters and make good mothers. Roosters can weigh from 8.5 to 11 pounds. They are easy going birds and not typically aggressive with people. The chicks are beautiful. These are my favorite to hatch and show. Shipping time will depend on how many buyers are before you. We don't collect until after payment is received. To get your name in line. Its best to make payment as soon as possible.
