And the serial number on the storage tank is 000000Y00, but it is listed at another location as just 000Y00. This boiler and storage tank were in use in a large apartment complex in the Tulsa. OK area, servicing 4 of the 12 buildings. Tenants started reporting issues with hot water, and two different plumbers were called. Long story short, after two days of calling Lochinvar tech support, cleaning the machine, and examining various electronic parts, it was determined by tech support that three small cracks in the fins were causing our issues. After giving up for the day, the apartment complex owner decided to completely replace the entire system with a four ... morepart commercial tank system, to the tune of nearly $35,000.00. To this day, the plumber still believes the few small cracks were NOT the issue, and has worked on boilers before that were in worse shape and functioned normally. But when you have tenants that haven't had hot water for two days, you must make a decision, and the decision was made to ensure they had hot water. The boiler and storage tank are still sitting in the laundry room. Where the boilers are placed in this particular complex. As you can imagine, the boiler in particular is VERY heavy.
