tree pole climbing spurs gaffs perfect best quality comfortable cadillacs
these are the highest end gaffs i have ever seen. they are plastic and fully adjustable and very comfortable. i was asked to try them out for a friend who sells these. i am and have been a professional arborist for 15 years. they had a full foot rest on them that made them ideal for pole work or standing in a tree for long periods. we cut the front and back off the foot bed to make them more appropriate for removal type work or pruning. if you have decent boots. The footbed seemed totally useless and just got in the way of boots touching branches. the leather and felt is as new as you can get. they are cadillacs and $450 here in canada. i will ship to canada and US only. it will be in the $25 to ship range for sure. i am getting rid of some nice older metal spurs as well in another listing. they are more like fords lol(kleins with replaceable ... moregaffs)

Up for bid is a set of used tree climbing equipment. I am selling this for a friend. So I know very little about tree climbing gear. I will do my best to describe all pieces. Included is a saddle harness(mens size small) a pair of gaffs/spikes, a lanyard with snaps, a 49 inch long wire with a carabiner on it, and a book“Tree Climber’s Companion” It will also come with a canvass storage bag. The Basic Tree Saddle is by Buckingham and sold through Sherrill. It is model number: 15587-S and Mfg. Date: 9-03. It comes with legstraps. It is a mens size small. Which according to the catalog fits 28-32. I measured the waist and it came to 31 to 39 inches. My friend only used this once so it is in great condition. The pair of spikes/gaffs are made by Bashlin Industries. These are well used. But all parts are intact. ... moreSpikes are still very sharp and do not have a cover for them(I will put something on them before shipping to prevent poking on other gear) The leather pieces are intact but there are a few scuffs on them-see pictures. The lanyard is 8 feet long and is by Sherrill. It is model number 15275 and has steel snaps. It is used. But snaps work well and there are no cuts on rope. The paperback book is titled“The Tree Climber’s Companion A Reference and Training Manual For Professional Tree Climbers” It is ISBN number 0-615-11290-0 and measures 8.5 X 5.5 inches. There is also a carabiner on a 49 inch long cable wire. Tree climbing can be dangerous. Buyer assumes all responsibility for any injuries that may occur while using this equipment. Up for sale here is a Buckingham D24 Climbing harness and safety strap(flipline) The harness is made from leather and canvas. And the safety strap is made from canvas. The harness has 2 Dee Rings, and is in great shape. It actually looks like it may have never been used. The eye holes on the harness and strap look like they never have had any pressure from the belt loop. But, because the person whose basement it was in is no longer with us, I dont know for sure, so I have listed it as a used harness. It appears to be in the 36"42" waist range. I bought these climbing spikes over 15 years ago at an estate auction. They have been sitting in a box in the closet ever since. They have not been cleaned or conditioned since I have owned them and they are being sold just as I found them. The length is marked 16 1/2 and there is another mark 4-28.
