As with any bird not all offspring even out of the best parents will end up show quality. Over the past couple of years I have shown my birds at numerous open poultry shows(with good competition) and my birds have received Best of Variety and/or Reserve of Variety at every show. At the 2013 ABA National in Stockton. CA. I had Best of Variety on the Bantam Blue Laced Red Wyandotte and also received Best Any Other Variety. I hatch out 100+ chicks each year and only keep the very best birds for breeding. I am currently using 2 blue laced roosters and one splash laced rooster. Most of the pullets/hens are blue laced. There are also 2 black laced and 2 splash laced hens/pullets. You may hatch blue laced. Black laced or splash laced birds from these eggs. I will carefully package your eggs to give them the best chance possible during shipping. That being said I have no control over what happens to the eggs once they leave my hands. Shipping can be very damaging to the eggs and shipped eggs normally do not hatch as well as eggs that were not shipped. The average weight of roosters is 11 pounds where the hen’s average weight is 8.5 pounds. They lay an average of 140 tinted eggs annually. Brahmas are calm. Friendly birds that make good pets. They are a popular choice for families with children. They have been very easy to raise and make a rather quiet and beautiful flock. The distinct difference between the well know Light and Dark Brahmas and these are their beautiful feather plumage. Our flock consists of Buff Laced. Gold Laced and Blue Laced Gold Brahmas. The reason for our decision to cross the different color varieties did not come easily. The Buff Laced Brahma would have to be our favorite color and the one that Dan Powell was aiming for when he started this project, but after careful research, we discovered that in this stage of the project, breeding only Buff Laced Brahmas would result in 80% Buff Laced Brahmas and 20% Gold Laced Brahmas. This feed sack is made of a softer fabric than your average feed sack and would make wonderful dish towels The lettering is light green. Quite faded and reads: B-B Poultry Rations Manufactured By Maritime Mlg. Co. Inc. Buffalo, NY. Near the bottom of the bag, in the center, there is the number 3.50 and beneath that 4S. There is also very, very faint red lettering which cannot be read and may have run from another sack. It measures 18" X 36" and one of the top corners is folded. Stitched and shaped. The spice was marketed by McCormick& Co. Inc. Baltimore Maryland and San Francisco California) The tin is circa late 1940s to early 1950s. With McCormick-Schilling logo and stuffing recipe on back. This is a ⅞ oz. spice tin. Measuring about 2¼” tall x 2¼” wide x 1¼” deep, with a shaker slide top. The tin even has quite a bit of vintage poultry seasoning still in it, although it has clumped up a bit. The tin has nice bright color lithography in red, white and blue. As shown in the photos, it is in very good used condition with a few small scratches, marks, dings or dents, etc. typical for a container this old. There is some oxidation and soiling on its top and bottom ... moreas shown. The slide shaker top opens and closes well. The tin even has the original store stamp price of 17¢ on its bottom. Vintage Galvanized Chicken or Other Poultry Feeder with Jar. For 7 Chicks
For your consideration is a chicken feeder made from galvanized steel. It is made to screw onto any jar with a standard size opening(I have it screwed onto a 1/2 gallon ATLAS STRONG SHOULDER MASON) It has 7 openings. The jar is filled with whatever solid the chickens are to eat; the feeder is attached and it is turned upside down on the chicken coop floor and carefully scooted to the desired location. It has a maximum diameter of 5 7/8" and with the jar attached. A height of 10 1/2" A previous owner painted the galvanized steel white with large black spots.
