VINTAGE H. BOKER& CO. GAME. POULTRY SHEARS Up for sale are Vintage Stainless Steel Poultry Shears made by H. Boker in Germany. The shears measure 10 inches in length with one serrated edge. I believe that these scissors were used at the table because they are decorated with a mother-of-pearl handle. They have a heavy duty barrel spring which contributes to a smooth cutting motion. There is a large screw for disassembling the shears for cleaning. A safety latch at the bottom keeps the shears closed for safe storage. There is one scrape on the surface of the blade- see photo#7. It does not interfere at all with either sharp cutting blade. These shears are vintage. They belonged to my mother who kept them packed away with her good silver. Therefore. This is a vintage meat and poultry carving fork. Not sure what the metal and handle are composed of. But it's a pretty neat fork with a built in flip up handle/rest. It is in good condition for the age and has that nice antique patina. I don't see any marks identifying the maker, but this would make a nice useful utensil for those of you into the country rustic/ cabin type of decor, just needs a little elbow grease to get into useful condition. DR HESS POULTRY VER-MI-TROL 4LB VTG VET TONIC USE W PAN-A-MIN ASHLAND OHIO RARE
Up for auction is an old-rough-UNOPENED CARDBOARD OR PAPER 4 POUND/LB BOX OF DR. HESS POULTRY VER-MI-TROL. It was manufactured by DR. HESS AND CLARK INC.ASHLAND, OHIO, USA. It was found at auction so I don't know any history or specific age. It does have $1.25 on the box! The box says it should be used with Dr Hess Poultry Pan-A-Min. It also says its a Flock Treatment for Large Round Worms. One side of box gives information about worms in poultry and the other side has ingredients information on Pan-a-min this product was recommended to be used with. The full back side is directions. I would describe it as being in very rough. Poor, worn vintage condition. Also I have to say it is probably UNUSABLE, just for vintage decor-historical-vet-display-purposes. The box is UNOPENED so I cannot see the contents. It feels hard. Most likely was ... moredamp and caked-hard at some point. It weighs over 4lbs now. The box appears dirty, lots of wears, tears, worn-torn paper(see photos) Its overall a nice old piece of history. Amazing it survived at all) but I always try to be more critical in my descriptions and will not call something if it's not! It measures 9" in height. 6 1/4" in width and nearly 3" in depth. I believe the photos show it well. Check them all out as they are part of the description. Please feel free to ask questions! As I'm just an auction-goer-treasurer-hunter.
