Up for auction is a vintage Surge Milker. This is a recent estate sale find and appears to be in good condition except for the hoses and rubber parts were rotted. The machine itself looks good and I think all the parts are there. There are eight milkers and two hanger brackets. This machine is large. 15 inches in dia. Here is a neat old data or information tag off of a McCormick Deering farm implement. I looked up the patent numbers on this piece and believe this came off of an old milking machine of some sort. But not for sure. Patent numbers are 1886190 and 1964515. Great condition with nice old patina. Looks nice as is, or could be lightly polished to look a little better, but I'll leave that up to you. For sale is a rarely-seen vintage piece of dairying history. This milking crock was found in a very old dairy barn complete with its cover. Iron hanger frame, and two vacuum valves attached at its base. It is in very nice condition for its age with only one small glazing chip at the crocks base. see photo) The iron frame exhibits a surface rust patina. With the exception of a few imperfections so common in pottery making, the piece is remarkably nice. The crock measures about 13" tall by 7" in diameter. Nice valves for a surge cream seperator. They look to be made of Brass! Some measurements are 3 1/2 inches long 9/16 inches of thread 5/8 inches for thread diameter and 15/16 inches wrench nut size. Stainless Steal Surge milking machine completely rebuilt and ready to use.
This has been rebuilt and is in perfect working condition. The 5 gallon milk can has a couple small dents in it but does not compromise it any way other than cosmetically. This is stainless steal. All the rubber teet parts are brand new. The pulsator is newly rebuilt and tested in great working condition. Just hook it up to your vacuum and your ready to let it milk your cow. If you have arthritis this can be a life saver!
