Forty Four(44) Multi-groove Electric Fence Insulator Blocks Porcelain- Superior Insulating Properties. Branded"Cross Country" Multi-groove wood post ceramic insulators can be used with either steel or aluminum wire and even poly wire. The multi-groove helps protect against arcing out and are very durable in all kinds of weather conditions. They are considered extremely dependable. With some of the best insulating properties over many other types in the market today. Dimensions: 1-3/4 long x 1-1/8 wide. They all came out of an old dresser drawer. And almost all of them had an old mud wasp nest inside them. After soaking them to disolve the old mud. I cleaned them through which gave me a chance to inspect them. There are a half a dozen to a dozen with slight flecks and these imperfections vary with most of the flecking on the bottom ... moreside of the insulator block. It is as if they have been moved around and against each other each time the drawer was opened and closed. NONE are broken or cracked through. And many of them look to have never been used at all. They have definitely been sitting around for a while. And I am unable to find any info on the brand name, so I figured that I would start them off at $2.25 a piece? as I saw that new ones of the same design go between $7-8.00 each with the special nail. So I thought roughly a third of a new one seemed reasonable? but feel free to make me an offer as it has a'Best Offer' button if this seems too high. Coast to Coast Electric Fencer Charger Controller Used. Excellent condition. Works the same as it did when it came out of the box many years ago. It's the older transformer type so it's not rated in miles of fence. The instant arc type need that designation because the fence itself acts like a capacitor and absorbs that instantaneous arc and the longer the fence the less effective they become. The old transformer type like this are far less susceptible to this phenomenon. Also these older types will actually burn off weeds and are less susceptible to lightning damage. The nameplate says Coast to Coast but I'm pretty sure Holdem made it and that's the only type I will ever use and I've been doing cattle for over a half century. The plug in chopper on the bottom is brand new and they usually last about 5 to 10 years. They ... morewere getting tough to find for awhile but now with internet that isn't such a problem. The two hot terminals are high power and low power and were principally designed for use where the high was for the fence and the low was for the cow trainers in the barn to encourage the cattle to back up a little in their stanchions to make their deposit in the gutter and not where they would lay down in it. It's slow make and break type and one of the lights indicates that the fencer is on and working and the other indicates if the fence is shorted out by the reed canary in the north swamp. A leather post card that is so faded I can barely make out what is on it. However I can read"SOUVENIT DEKALB FENCE CO. SALESMEN'S PICNIC ELECTRIC PARK. DEKALB, ILL.AUG 4, 1906" and to the left of the printing is a picture of something, possibly their factory or a building. Too faded to figure out what it is. Back has some surface tears. I zoomed in on the printing and enhanced it to make it readable here. Apparently they were a fence maker in 1906 but I think later they moved on big time to the hybrid corn seed market. If you win more postcards the postage generally will not be more(46 cents for all) Keep watching as I go through the old boxes stored away for many years. ELECTRIC FENCE ENERGISER/FENCER POWERFUL 12V REFURBISHED 1 YEAR WARRANTY This is a high power 12 volt operated fence energiser made by Speedrite that is capable of electrifying up to 15 kilometres. It has been fully refurbished and comes with a no quibble one year return to base warranty. Cosmetically. The label is a bit tatty and there are some paint marks on it, but this does not detract from the operation of the unit. In fact. The internal electronics are in pristine condition as can be seen from the photo. There is a three position switch at the base of the energiser that includes the on/off and the slow and fast pulse positions. This is very useful for conserving battery consumption as the switch can first be set to fast to allow the animals to get used to the fence and later it can be switched to the slow position. There is a slot on ... morethe rear of the unit that can be used to mount the energiser vertically. An adequate earthing system is recommended. As a rule a 2 metre galvanised stake should be driven into the ground. A pulse light on the front panel flashes to indicate the unit is operating. It is fitted with brand new leads and clips.
