Farm Products Group Hol-Dem model 57 electric fencer. Electric fence controller? Whatever. 12" wide. 8" tall, 6" deep. Very good physical condition. As far as I can tell. This unit is unused. I don't live on a farm or have a fence to electrify. But I do have a multimeter. When I turned on the Hol-Dem, the fence signal LED lit up, and the power signal LED remained dark. I tested the voltage across the terminals and it was a steady 448VAC. The I turned the unit off and back on again. And after that things went haywire. The fence signal LED went out, and the power signal LED started to flash. The voltage reading began to fluctuate. I also noticed a bit of a burning smell. I'm certainly not an expert on electric fencers. But my guess is that the capacitor and/or the coil are dried out from age. Cool old USA made HOL DEM Model 57 electric fence charger. I plugged it in and after about 15 seconds the red lights on front cycle on and off. I connected a multimeter to the posts on them bottom and when the lights cycle on I was getting a voltage spike from the posts(too quick to get an exact reading. This is a very nice Gallagher M1000 fence engergizer. I bought this used. And have never used it. I did perform testing on it though, as shown in the photos. I have a basic electric fence tester that I use on my pet electric fence(I have a Labrador that likes to garden) The test is basic, the light illuminates when the stored up charge is discharged. The display on the front of the unit lets the user know the voltage discharge. As shown in the photos, the test light lit up every time the unit discharged. The back of the unit says it has a pulse interval of 1.27 seconds, and has a peak voltage 6.99 kV(6990 volts) This unit is ideal for sheep, and is will power up to 250 acres(34 miles) of multi-wire permanent fence. The q uickscan output Voltage bar graph shows output voltage of the energizer at a glance and a digital output reading. Here is a vintage Agway. Sentry solid state electric fence controller. It is model no. 109091 and is in a yellow housing. Overall it is in pretty good shape and does appear to have had any operational issues. It has not been used for a while and used to belong to my father. It worked for many years with the horse corral and was then stored away. I no longer have the means to test it. So if you know of a way w/o the actual fencing, let me know. Or if you want to take a chance on it working. Go ahead. The instructions are most still visible on the back of it. But some of it has started to crumble. The cord is in great shape and the terminal underneath are complete. This could also make a great advertising piece. The face plate is tin I believe. With great graphics. Electric fence energiser/charger. Stafix m20r cyclic wave in like new condition. I bought the wrong unit as I needed a unit that was run off a battery versus a plug in unit. This is the plug in unit. Only cosmetic issue is near plug. I removed a 1/4 inch of the insulation wire to see if I could make it into a battery unit. Wrapping with electrical tape would cover it up. It works perfect and is remote ready.
