For Sale is a cut out/stamped set of an DeLaval Cow and Calf. They are near perfect condition a few scratchs. It has 43-24 on the back side(I don't know what that means) They were made by American Art Sign Co. Brooklyn New York. The size of the cow is 5 1/2" X 3 1/2" tall. The calf is 2 1/2" long X 1 7/8" tall. They are made of sheet metal. I have owned these for 30 or 35 years- very collectable. I accept PayPal or Personal check. No international shipping. 10" Pail Shelf With Bracket fits #12 De Laval Cream separator
This is the smaller 10" pail shelf. It is solid and the bracket is not cracked but it is very rusty. It will fit a De Laval number 12 separator. I don't know if it will fit any others. Please check the description and/or ask questions if you need it for another machine. The shelf itself is about 10" in diameter. The overall length is about 15 1/2" The opening in the bracket(where it attaches to the casting on the separator) is about 2 3/4" The pin is in the bottom of the bracket. Very nice McCormick model 3f cream separator rated for 750 lbs/hr. I replaced the cord and made new gaskets for it. Its ready to go. Included is an extra bowl ring gasket and a copy of the operating manual and the clamp used to take the bowl assembly apart for cleaning. I'll refund any extra on the shipping. I mailed one of these last year from Nebraska to Texas and the rate was $110 for two boxes. The motor sounds good. But keep in mind these were built like a tank and this separator is 50+ years old. Vintage Antique Cast Iron PRIMA Cream Separator Made In Finland
Up for auction this week we have a vintage Prima cream separator. I didn't know what this was until a helpful eBayer told me. He said that it was part of a cream separator. So I assume there is something missing from it. It has Prima Made In Finland on a cover on the side. It is made of cast iron and has a crank that turns a sprocket/ gear. The unit measures about 8" tall(not counting crank) The base measures 7 1/4" X 6 1/4" There are four bolt holes to mount it to a table or something. The wood crank handle is in good condition as well. There is a 4" diameter hole at the top with the tip of some kind of shaft in the middle. There is a cap that lifts up on the one side. This unit will be shipped with the crank off, all you have to do is put it back on and tighten the set screw.

Had one or two cows, this was the separator unit that was used to divide the milk and cream. This Bradley 152 separator has been in our possession for over 35 years. Antique Cream Separator Economy Chief Jr
Up for auction is a Sears Economy Chief Jr cream separator from the early 1900's. It still has the original paper tag tied to it with pertinent information from the manufacturer! It's model 252. And can process 225 lbs of milk per hour. This type of cream separator used centrifugal force to separate the lighter cream from the skim milk. The heavier skim milk was thrown outward as the bowl spun and the lighter cream moved towards the center. This was a much faster method as well as more of the cream was recovered. A well adjusted centrifugal cream separator could leave less than 1% of the cream behind in the skim milk. Speed had the advantage of reducing bacterial growth and off flavors in the butter. The centrifugal forces actually had a filtering action and removed most of the foreign matter in the cream. Larger quantities of cream ... morecould be separated in a shorter time allowing more cows to be milked. The condition is very nice for it's age.
