Chickens x 3 Teapot. Creamer, and Sugar This tea set features a stylized chicken on the teapot. Creamer and sugar.all are in olive green. The whimsical birds feature large eyes and beak with exaggerated feathers. The lids on the to of the teapot and the sugar bowl are an unusual flat style with indentations incorporated into the piece to create a gripping handle. There are shadings toward brown within the feathers of teh birds. This set is in nice used condition with only one discernable flaw as noted blow. As illustrated in the fifth photo. There is a portion of the edge of the creamer in which the glaze was weak and the white base of the piece shows through. This is not damage to the piece, but was inherent in its manufacture. For sale is a vintage 1959 hen and rooster T.V. lamp by Maddux of Calif. This is a very rare lamp. Marked on the back: C'59 834 Made in USA E-21855-14 Maddux of Calif. The lamp measures 9 1/4" at its highest. 10" wide, and 4 1/2" deep. There are small flakes in the paint: three in the front leaf; two in the rooster's feathers/under the comb and two in the tail feathers; three in the hen's tail feathers(not seen from the front) There are several slight rubs in the rooster's tail feathers and tiny rough spots in the hen's top comb. All of these can probably be easily fixed with paint(I am not the right person to do that) No cracks. Breaks, or repairs. The light works. Has an on-off button, and the wiring looks good. Japanese Obidome Antique/vintage obidome of a finely detailed yellow gold rooster and hen. Marked on back of mounting with Kanji. A symbol of maybe a flower? and 18k. All parts tested as well and all is 18kt, including the loop/hook part. The rooster part is hollow, can't tell for sure though if hen is or not. Purchased by my parents sometime between late-50's-72' while residing in Japan. Measures approx. 1 1/4" long. 5/8" at the highest, 3/16" front to back. Weighs 8.4 grams/29 ounces.
