Massive heavy glass globes sits inside of an art deco metal stand with ground glass stopper. Total height is 24" widest area measures 10" across. These have residue of previous contents that will need washed out. One globe is very nice. No chips or cracks. The second globe has a damaged stopper. Still very usable. see pictures of this stopper with and without the rubber stopper. No damage is visible when the stopper is in place. Jar#2 is undamaged. Vintage Zenith"Beehive"Tabletop Tube Radio Art Deco Bakelite Case 5R312 WORKS!
Here's an old table radio with great Art Deco style that recently came out of a local Nebraska estate. As you can see. The case is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. When you plug it in. You can adjust the dial and listen to the radio. The only issue is a background hum. The push buttons work but the label is missing from one. The on/off button is a little yellower than other one. Probably due to handling. Extremely hard to find in this condition. My husband cleaned it up and re-attached a frayed cord(he's a journeyman electrician) Add it to your collection. Very Rare Nesbitt's Quart Size Beehive Clear Embossed Bottle - Probably a 1937
Very interesting early embossed quart size Nesbitt's bottle. It stands about 9.75" tall and is 3.5" across the base. It is shaped like a beehive and has a large Nesbitt's embossed in script across the shoulder. The embossing has been painted black by the previous owner. But could easily be removed. The paint is not hiding anything, the embossing appears to be near perfect. The base has a Owens Illinois glass mark 23-7, which would indicate this is a 1937 bottle. I'm guessing the bottle is a very early syrup bottle and did not contain soda. The only other embossing is a tiny"ONE QUART" on the front heel and a tiny"1" on the rear heel. The bottle is in excellent condition with just a couple little fleabites here and there and a tiny nick on the base mentioned for complete accuracy. This bottle came ... moreout of a small Iowa collection I purchased and was dug back in the 60's. It has been in that collection since it was dug. I have been searching the internet for a few weeks and cannot find any comparable Nesbitt's bottle. Truly a unique very rare item for the Nesbitt's, Orange Soda, or Western collector. Glazed, stoneware shoulder jug with applied slip handle is approximately 9 1/2" tall and 7" in diameter. It has a bee-hive shape and a dark rich brown color glaze that is iridescent in some light. It is very good condition given its age and likely use. There is a chip at its base(see photo) that is nearly unobservable given the color of the stoneware. The jug is sound and un-cracked, despite its chip. This jug is easily 80 to 100 years old, given the family's Kentucky history. It weighs 6.2 pounds. A bronze beehive thimble from the middle ages. And an open-top thimble from the same period. I know less than nothing about thimbles. I don’t know thimble size numbers or much else about them. However I have dealt in antiques and collectibles for many years. The ones I am listing were collected by a former roommate. Who accumulated them with the guidance of a collector friend. The entire form is gently crimped; machined, of course, yet the inside does show the indentations of the concentric rings which push through the exterior surface. Rare Art Deco Bronzed Spelter 'Seated Nude' Beehive Lamp, by Nuart, c.1928
A Rare American. Bronzed Spelter, Seated Nude' Odeon Style Lamp, with it's Original Iridescent Amber-Glass'Beehive' Shade, circa 1928. This period Art Deco lamp. Is cast in cold-painted bronzed spelter, with a balancing seated nude, drawn by the light of the'beehive' iridescent glass shade. This nude is modeled to look like the many screen goddess' of the 1920-30's, with an Odeon style architectural feel to her sculpting and the lamp base, typical of Nuart& Frankart designs of the period. These foundries paved the way in the United States for the new'moderne look' of the Art Deco Period, with their sleek stylised appearance, where the models were incorporated as part of the overall design, almost like the caryatids of the ancient world temples. She appears quite elfin-like, similar to models used ... moreby Lorenzl, as she balances cheekily on the classical plynth seat. The spelter base has a strong geometric feel, which is echoed in the shape of the rare original amber-glass'beehive' shade. Overall it has a nice aged bronze-patina, adding to the character of the piece and is free from any major damage. The iridescent-glass shade is also in excellent condition and has a lovely warm glow when alight. The lamp itself takes a standard screw-bulb, which works fine, and retains vintage wiring. But as with all old electrical items, it should be tested and checked by a qualified electrician before prolonged use. The original rotary'on/off' switch is located to the rear of the shade gallery& still works fine for ease of use. This period lamp is 180mm's tall. By 200mm's long and 115mm's deep, and quite weighty for it's size. The glass shade slots into the rounded raised gallery on the base. This is a lot of 4 antique brass drawer pulls in a hard to find beehive pattern. The set of four have a beehive or skep sitting on a bench in a garden of flowers. Everything is there but the screws that go in the back which will most likely have to come from some other antique back plates as these screws I believe are a size 8-30 and I could not find them at a hardware store. They are all in good condition for being over 100 years old but do show some wear but will go another century on your furniture. Email questions. The clock has a 48R movement probably made in Germany at the Turn of the Century. The case is absolutey beautiful with wonderful inlay and genuine purfling. I believe the included key and pendulum are original. As far as I can tell the clock is completely original and in extremely fine working condition. The glass face is the most special piece of heavy beveled glass or crystal. The clock stands approximately 10 2/3" tall. The coil gong has the most warm sound. 1800s OGEE BEEHIVE CLOCK. The"Ogee” clock was one of the first weight-driven. 30-hour pendulum clocks manufactured in the 19 th century for the"common man. The Ogee is an architectural feature. A double curve in the molding with the shape of an elongated‘S. This feature has often been compared to the beauty of the Queen Anne form found in the legs of fine furniture. The case on this clock is absolutely exquisite- a beautiful rosewood veneer over another wood. Likely poplar, in pristine condition. Clock has an intact pendulum and two heavy brass or cast iron weights(see pic) I HAVE NOT YET ATTEMPTED TO PUT THE WEIGHTS BACK ON THE CLOCK; however, the key for the clock(with a little handle) is mounted inside the clock. Antique Victorian Solid Brass Beehive Candlesticks. 13' Tall. The engraving on the bottom side reads: Good Luck" with a little horseshoe in the middle. The push-ups don't work and it sure needs to be polished. These are probably from the late 1800s and once they are polished they will be a one-of-a-kind treasure. I have not seen anything like these on-line or in antique shops. I know they have been in my family for at least 90 years. They have wonderful detail and are quite heavy. If I were to clean them up. Much of the plating has worn away, particularly on the handle and flynut, otherwise in good condition with full worm. Old Antique Ogee Clock Zinc Dial 19th C 8 1/4” Hand Painted Beehive Steeple
Here is a really old antique zinc square with bulbous numerals clock dial that measures 8 1/4” square(actually the exact diameter of each side is just under 8 5/16” This dial is rare in that it has 3 wind holes instead of the usual two holes. Distance to the bottom of the lower wind holefrom the bottom of the dial is 1 1/2” Distance to the bottom of the two“upper” wind holes from the bottom of the dial is 2 7/8” The distance between the center of the two upper wind holes is 3 1/4” The large center hole is just under 2 5/16” wide. I have been told by a clock expert that the extra“third” lower windhole was used to wind the arbor on which hung a small weight. This weight activated the alarm mechanism allowing the clock to ring an alarm at a preset time. In addition to the other weights which powered the time keeping and striking on the hour, ... moreeach hour. There is the expected wear to the dial. Plus areas of in-painting(most notably just under the large center hole, and in the upper left hand corner) Other than that, the dial is fairly clean. This dial looks mid 19th century to me and probably belonged to a shelf clock of some type, and was perhaps made in Connecticut. A really nice old rare dial!

Beehive Finial Clear Solid Glass Stopper Bung Joint Taper
For your consideration is this vintage clear glass beehive shaped finial. It measures as follows: Overall Length: 3 ¾ inches Finial: 1 ¾ inches long Finial Diameter: 1 3/4 inches Finial to Center of Neck: 2 ¼ inches long Shank: 1 1/8 inches long Smallest Diameter of Shank: ¾ inch Largest Diameter of Shank: 7/8 inch This glass stopper is quite sturdy and no chips. Nicks, cracks or repairs are noted. It looks like there is a line in the neck just below the finial which as most likely cause by a double pour of glass. The shank of the stopper is ground.
