A very colorful piece! The goose is a redish brown marble marked CrackerJackon the bottom and stands 1 1/8th inches tall. A great vintage piece with impressions on both sides! There is a blue bunny rabbit that is a stand up toy with impressions on both sides. There are no marking on this little rabbit. His ears perked up brings him to a height of 1 3/4 inches. The bee is 1 1/4 inches tall. A very nice collectible Cracker Jack toy! There is a small red turtle that is unmarked and has a small amount of marbeling to him. He is about 1 1/2 inches long and lies flat. There is a small flat light colored marbelized saicer that has a flower on it with leaves and buds. This little plate is marked Cracker Jack on the back. Antique Carnival Iridescent Glass Fly Trap Hobnail Flycatcher Bee Insect Catcher, Click to View Image Album Click to View Image Album Click to View Image Album Click to View Image Album Antique Carnival Iridescent Glass Fly Trap Hobnail Flycatcher Bee Wasp Insect Catcher This is an old glass fly catcher that was acquired from a local farmhouse. One would place sugared water and meat in the bottom of the globe and the flies would enter. But be confused by the construction of the piece, and unable to find their way out- the only thing about this piece is that the bottom isnt open, Im not sure why. Perhaps this was meant to be a decorative piece or simply was never finished. The piece is made of clear glass with an iridescent finish, what people might term as Carnival glass. It is definitely antique glass as it fluoresces under a black(ultraviolet) ... morelight. The glass is old and has a lot of tiny specks of foreign matter in it. Ive photographed the piece with back lighting and flash lighting, so the iridescence is more pronounced than under normal viewing conditions. The piece sits of three rounded feet and there is a center piece that protrudes up into the interior of the bottle. It has a stopper and is made of pressed glass in a hobnail finish. It measures 6 3/4 in height to the top of the stopper and has a diameter of 4 3/8 at its widest. It weighs very close to 1 lb. It is in very good condition with no chips, cracks or wear. Vintage MKI or a MKII Simplex ? Go Kart With West Bend 820 Power Bee Engine
Up for auction this week we have a vintage Go Kart with a West Bend Power Bee engine. This is a non running project. I didn’t know what the make of the go kart was or if it was a homemader until a helpful eBay sent me the following info: It's either a MKI or a MKII Simplex kart that has been cut off behind the seat then converted to a live axle" The engine is loose when you turn the crank. The recoil is missing. There may also be carb rods/ linkage missing? The engine looks pretty good cosmetically. The clutch is also intact. I don’t have the chain hooked up as there are some spots that are stiff on the chain links. THE METAL TAG ON THE ENGINE READS: WEST BEND. POWER BEE, 2 CYCLE ENGINE, MODEL 82002, ENGINE SERIAL 17411, THE WEST BEND COMPANY Hartford, Wisconsin. pats applied for USA. The West Bend aluminum engine mount is still ... moreintact. The go kart has old school Goodyear slicks on the back. And oldies on the front. One of the rear rims has a slight bend, and one of the slicks have a gash. There is a braking system that works. The fuel tank is missing. The sheet metal is rusty and rotted on the edges. There is pinstriping here and there. I hate to sell. But don't have the time to do anything with it. antique rare handmade stoneware pottery 2 gallon JF.Lyons bee stinger jug museum
this is a very rare 19th century antique handmade J. Fisher& co. 2 gallon stoneware jug from Lyons. New York. It has the earliest J.Fisher stamp on the top of the jug and is very rare. It is pretty much in museum quality there is no damage or imperfections that happened after it was made. being these stoneware jugs were made by hand they all hove some very slight imperfections but they are glazed over being it happened when making the piece. This is the signature"bee stinger" cobalt hand painted design with a number 2 at the top standing for capacity. the bee stinger is the most desirable out of Fishers stoneware jugs. The cobalt color is still very bright and vibrant. the jug has a great light brown color with a salt glaze gloss finish. it also has a nice brown at the top. the carrying handle connects from the body to the spout. ... moreAnd in good shape. has very thick stoneware walls and measures 13 1/4 by 9 1/2 inches. very rare jug. great shape and no chips or damage. In the last picture you can see a very minute hairline crack in the handle but is just a small surface crack from when it was made and has filled with a dark substance over the years. Does not hurt the integrity of the piece at all and hard to see. This week we are proud to offer this truly awesome antique- a fabulous Paris Porcelain vase which stands 13" tall to the rim and sports a 6" diameter waist. We are dating it to the mid 1850's only because of its provenance. But it might actually be an 18th Century treasure. As with most 18th C Paris Porcelains, it is not signed or marked on the bottom, and the gilding is slightly worn in spots from handling. But overall, we have never seen a piece of this age in better condition. There are no chips, cracks or restorations and the artwork has been marvelously preserved. We continue offering items from a consignment that have been in a Southwestern New Hampshire family for years. As we have now discovered, back into the first half of the 19th century. My consignor explains; To the best of my knowledge my family were primarily farmers in Dublin. NH. There were several generations living on the farms at the same time. Farm income was supplemented by various means. Hiriam Carey was the Dublin carriage driver for Mark Twain and my Grandmother was a seamstress who also made costumes for the likes of Amelia Earhart and Joseph Linden Smith during their stays in Dublin. Though there may not have been a lot of money to purchase luxuries' or non essential items sometimes the family was given small things for either payment or in appreciation. Items on most of the cards are in alphabetical order, but other than one card devoted to animals I can discern no connection between the items on an individual card. The range of types and age of the buttons is great, from a one piece golden age with bible& In God We Trust" back marked"Orange Colour" to a modern wooden mouse with leather ears& tail. On this card we have 46 buttons ranging from 3/8" to 1 1/4" in diameter. A wonderful variety of buttons.
