The display is steady and the triggering is solid. All switches and controls are present and in very good condition. The waveforms shown in the pictures are a 10-KHz Square Wave and a 10-KHz Sine wave. All indicator lights are operational. One plastic knob is missing on the upper right hand corner(see pictures) but the control(Delayed Trigger Level) is fully operational. This oscilloscope may need some adjustment or calibration. So, you can move channel twos trace up, but not down. My work around has been to use channel two in the top part of the screen. The photos here may be somewhat confusing as I was initially going to list these three together. This auction is for the 7B53A S/N B189904 only. It shows little evidence of use with no dings or scratches and like the other two is fully functional. All of these trigger to 125 mhz or so and show good timing accuracy and sweep linearity. They are fully checked out however I did not formally calibrate them. These are best matched with the 74xx. 75xx and76xx mainframes but work well in all of 7000 Series. Tektronix Type 453 dual trace 50 MHz Oscilloscope
Tektronix Type 453 oscilloscope: 50 MHz dual trace scope and compensating probe. Probe is 10 Meg. 7.0 PF, 9.0 FT, 600V. Knobs and switches appear to work although not extensively tested in all combinations. The pictures are of the actual unit. The three wave form pictures were generated using a Heathkit AS10 signal generator. They are a 1.0 MHz. 100KHz and 1kHz square wave(channel A) and sine wave(channel B) The distortion in the square wave results from the quality of the AS10, and the frequency span was limited by the AS10. I have used this scope for more than ten years and am downsizing a little. It is in good cosmetic shape and nothing appears to be missing.
