I bought this recently. But it is way more scope than I need. I do electronics repair and some hobby micro-controller stuff. The best I can tell, everything checks out OK. All four channels read the exact same on the test signal. Unit has GPIB, VGA, PS2 mouse, DIN 5 keyboard, 2 serial, and one parallel port. There is some scuffing on the top of the machine, as seen in the pics. Does not come with any accessories, cables, or cords. Tektronix TDS 644A 500 Mhz Oscilloscope. For Parts, Partially Powers Up
Tektronix 500 MHz 4-Channel Digital Oscilloscope FOR PARTS. AS IS. Does not completely boot up. Screen display is dim. When powered on. The oscilloscope cycles through the self test and begins to boot up(you can hear the relays clicking on the attenuator assembly) But toward the end of the boot up process, the display screen freezes with a line at the top(see photo) and the 7-segment display on the processor board alternately flashes the top and bottom left side segments as it would during a normal boot(see picture) Using the Tektronix Service manual. The voltages inside have been checked and are in spec. The capacitors on the aquisition and processor boards have been replaced and the boards cleaned, but the problem remains. I suspect that the battery in the NVRAM is low and the checksum is bad. The Tektronix service manuals offer no help ... morefor how to fix this problem other than"replace the processor board" Also.
