Up for auction is a Loveland controls 410A electronic calibrator. It is good. Used condition and comes with a very nice padded transit case. It has a new 12 volt 2.9Ah sealed lead acid battery and has been tested for operation, ie, the voltmeter and sourcing functions seem normal. No instructions or accessories are available. no further testing was done. Original battery charger was not available but I have included a small wall wart charger that is rated at 14 Volts DC@ 340 mA. the cable is terminated with aligator clips and a suitable dc jack will need to be added so that it will interface with the external power dc jack. Need to check to make sure that is the proper voltage. I suspect that it takes 14 volts and there is mostlikely a reverse polarity diode in series with the jack paypal please no international shipping

I purchased this piece of test equipment many years ago from a former employee of Ernst Leitz and he told me it was a factory made shutter tester used in the NJ Leica repair facility in the 1970's and 80's. Surely there cannot be many of these in existence. This one is serial number 25. I don't know if it works or not. Assume not, but it doesn't matter since it is an ultra cool shelf-piece for display. It does light up when you plug it in and LEDs do flash and meter needles swing. You can have every Leica camera made and I bet you don't have one of these! This is one of the few devices which National Bureau of Standards( NBS) will accept for calibration as voltage standard. NBS refuses to accept any DMM as a standard due to excessive long term drift. The drift of Guildline standard cell enclosure( It is 4 or 12 cells depending on model of saturated Weston cells keep under constant temperature of 30 degrees +-005 degrees) is measured in 1or 2 ppm per DECADE. Only in the last 15 years has the NBS accepted voltage standards such as Fluke 7000 as a replacement for saturated Weston cells. Many calibration labs now use the Fluke voltage standard as the primary voltage standard but always keep a saturated Weston cell such as the Guildline or a bank unsaturated Weston cells as backup voltage standard. The temperature control electronics was faulty so I rebuilt it and upgraded it to the latest revision. The last two pages show the output of one of the cells measured by my Datron 1061A multimeter. My meter was last calibrated 5 years ago so the reading could be off by +- 50 microvolts. Originally the cells came with a sheet of paper showing the calibrated output stuck in a holder in the top but the sheet got lost. This unit uses special designed cells to be shippable by standard carrier.
