Just to be safe, I like to sell something as a parts/repair unit even though it might look like it functions fine, but I can't test fully. A lot of people are pleasantly surprised when I do list it as P/R and find out it functions just fine! This item came in and I turned it on, the digital display started counting until it stopped at-358F. I switched it from Farenheit to Centigrade, and the number changed to-216C. I saw another unit just like this on Ebay and the readout was also-358 and he said it was working, so this might work just fine also. Again, I'm not 100% positive, so selling as parts/repair. Has all the knobs intact and they turn fine. Has what looks like two plastic holders on the side, ... moreso might have been mounted at one time. Manual not included. No cables or thermocouples included. Battery not included. Can't be shipped with a battery. As you can see. I checked it with a type J thermocouple and it is accurate. TRANSMATION 1020 PP CALIBRATOR & 1040 PPS DIGITAL CALIBRATOR
Two Transmation meters. From my late fathers collection of tools. The 1020 takes 5 nine volt batteries(not included) The needle does jump when loaded with batteries and the top knob is turned. The 1040 needs new batteries. However when I plugged it in last(5 years ago) they took a charge and the meter functioned. As the batteries are dated 1986 I am sure new ones will spark the unit right up. I have no idea how to test these and for that reason I am placing a low starting bid with no reserve.
