Leaflets and ... moretwo letters on Fairbanks, Morse& Company stationery all relating to the Fairbanks-Morse Eclipse Pumper. One of the letters and both brochures are dated 1911. The other items are not dated but came together with the others and appear to be from that same 1911 time period. One of the letters is two pages and is a reply to questions about the Eclipse Pumper engine concerning the horsepower rating and related subject matter. One of the brochures is a four page pamphlet format titled Fairbanks-Morse Eclipse Pumper. The front cover reads in part: The Eclipse Pumper consists of a powerful Fairbanks-Morse Gasoline Engine. Mounted on the base of a Special Fairbanks-Morse Pump Jack. The second brochure is a smaller four panel format that folds out to about 12” x 6” with photos and halftones. Also included are two smaller advertising leaflets and another typed letter on Fairbanks. Morse& Co. stationery making six pieces total. T his is a wisconsin 14-6 HP TF series engine.Cast iron Block in very good condition.It only has about 10 hrs on it since major overhaul. It has a three belt flywheel. The spec# is92453 and the ser# is 2164840 It's original use was in a railroad dingy car It was built in 1953. It was rebuilt about 20 years ago just before I stopped using it. WE will start the engine and let it run at pickup. If not satisfied? No sale/ I will except cash in hand at pick up The engine is located in Salisbury NC. This is a large volume with 477 pages. A great reference with nice illustrations of several steam engines, Charter gas engine, Fairbanks Morse and a few others. This book measures 7 inches X 9 3/4 inches. There is some wear on the covers and bottom and top of spine. There is also some separation of the binding in a few areas. 1903 Deming Pump Catalog, Unknown Engine/Pump Pictured
Here we have a 32 page catalog for the Deming Company of Salem. Ohio, makers of hand and power pumps. The only dates I could find were for the testimonials, the last one was for Dec. 1902 so I`m putting a date of 1903 on this catalog. There are 3 small thin spots on the back cover where something was stuck to it at one time, otherwise it`s in very good condition. It has all of their hand pumps pictured, along with a gasoline powered unit. This one has a vertical water cooled engine built onto the pump, and I don`t recognize anything on the engine to be able to identify it. Possibly Deming made an engine at one time? They would be able to make one since they made their pumps and must have had a foundry and machine shop. A great catalog to go through!
