ANTIQUE 1920’S JACOBSEN AIR-COOLED TWO CYCLE GAS ENGINE
This engine was originally mounted on a“Jacobsen Putting Green Mower” from the 1920’s. This unique old engine is almost complete. Missing only the easily fabricated two piece shroud to direct cooling air over its upright single cylinder. It has excellent compression, rolls over smoothly and the magneto is very hot-trust me and my still tingling palm on that! It comes with a copy of an original parts catalog/operator manual. Due to the heavy weight and the oversized/awkward dimensions of this engine assembly I will strip down the engine to its basic components to ship it(see pictures. And yes, I marked the timing gears so you can correctly re-align them upon reassembly) To get it within the weight limits set by the shipping companies, it will be sent in two boxes, one containing the basic engine and weighing 60 lbs, and the other with the ... morebase, gas tank/carburetor assembly, magneto and other smaller pieces weighing 40 lbs. 1956 REO 1 cylinder 4 cycle Air Cooled Engine in excellent Original condition !!
Here we have a vintage 1956 REO Division Motor Wheel Corporation 1 Cylinder 4 cycle Air cooled engine. Manufactured in Lansing. Michigan. Model 5250K Type 1. Serial# 525K 14717. This engine is in excellent original condition. The tank is really clean. No old gas or rust. The motor has compression at at least 95 PSI. We pulled it over not mounted to anything. So it may be better than 95. Engine currently has no spark, most likely needs the points cleaned. We bought this at an estate sale and don't know the history of it. We can see that the previous owner took excellent care of it. Appears to be original paint. Carter model N carburetor. See pics. Use the zoom feature on the photos for more detail.
