Called a signal level meter, Sadelco model FS-3D VS, this was power tested with fresh batteries and appeared to work as far as powering up, meter moved, red light came on and faint sound was audible when audio button switched on. Typical wear for something used of this age, some surface scratches, and some wear on the case, strap is broken and taped, a name and number marked on surface of face. Has the instruction card, 3 little electronic tester looking thingys, and battery packs in upper case section, also a small f fitting testing wire rolled up in the upper section, apparently it originally came with a phone plug, which is missing. For your consideration is one vintage Measurements Corporation(Boonton) Model 59 Grid-Dip meter. This was used for many years in the Burroughs Corporation's Paoli labs. And prior to that for the Control Instruments Company, and still maintains its inspection and equipment tags. This has been called the best grid-dip meter ever made, and it features a removable head, large meter, and a regulated power supply. This meter features its original coil set in clip-on wood holder. This unit was in bad shape when I got it. A new cord has been put on. As has a knob to replace the one missing from the coil holder, and a broken, insulated phenolic shaft on the handset has been repaired. Two of the coils are missing their plastic caps, but they are fully functional. The unit has been cleaned and tested. And is in full working order. The Model 54-A soil resistivity apparatus is lightweight. Accurate and simple to operate. The complete apparatus consists of a 40" calibrated hexagonal steel rod with handles and insulated tip. A compact AC resistivity bridge instrument in a leather carrying case, and an ear set for balancing a bridge by null method. The rod is simply pushed into soil to the desired depth and connected to bridge. AC resistance between the tip and body of rod is determined by balancing bridge and soil resistivities in Ohms-cc read direct on the dial. The soil rod is made of cold drawn hexagonal steel with a hardened steel tip insulated by a nylon washer. The Connecting lead from the tip is brought up through the body of the rod to the insulated terminal. The other terminal is grounded to the body of the rod. Units are furnished complete with soil bridge. Rod, case, ear set, connecting leads, and instructions. For sale is a vintage Gertsch FM-6 frequency meter. I plugged the meter in and turned the power switch on and nothing happened. The light did not come on. I am not at all familiar with these machines and don't know how to work one. But. Since the light did not come on, I assume that it does not work.
