STACK PRESS- 9 TON- SERVO MOTOR DRIVEN-ADJUSTABLE HEIGHT PLATTEN
This press was built by Spectrum Tool in Rochester NY for GM. It came out of a fuel cell laboratory they shut down. It uses servo motors to drive the rams. The platen height is adjustable. The down height is 15" off the floor and up is 43" so it has 28" off stroke. The leveling feet also provide another 2" up or down. I'm not sure why the height is adjustable other than to load or unload the machine. The daylight is 48" with a 15" stroke on the ram. The platen is 48" x 28" and the distance between the posts is 39" It also has a load cell on the pressing ram. It should be calibrated. Last time it was done end of 2011.
