These are a set of 4 non-swivel Industrial Caster Wheels. The wheels are pre-owned and used. But looks to be in good working order. The diameter of the wheels are 5 1/2" The plates are made of a cast steel material and the wheels are either a very hard rubber or plastic material. Wheels like this are expensive new. Four cast iron industrial Bassick casters acquired at an industrial salvage auction. The Bassick Caster Company manufactured casters in Bridgeport. CT and is no longer in existence. These casters are huge and from what I have learned, I believe they probably came from an industrial factory cart. The iron wheels measure 3-1/2" in diameter and each caster weighs well over 6 pounds. They all roll and swivel as they should. Each has a grease fitting and the ball bearings can be seen under the edge of their enclosures. They are marked in more than one place with the manufacturer's name; and the part#477 is prominently stamped on one end of the bases. There are other numbers in various places which are likely part numbers for other components. There is heavy patina/rust and minor visible wear to the wheels. I tried to show any defects with the pictures and I have to comment on one of the bases are discolored but it no way affects the performance of the caster. They are actually pretty bright and shiney. These casters came off of large steel grocery store produce racks/carts. I have rolled each of them around by hand. And they all roll smooth and swivel great.
