Pair of Antique Vintage Industrial Steampunk Wood Steel CASTERS dual wheels
Up for auction is a pair of mis-matched dual wheel casters. The casters are a magnetic steel with a rusted bronze looking finish. Bothe sets have wood wheels with a very beautiful grain(see pictures 4& 5) These were left over from a project. I always seem like I can't find that fourth caster to finish a project. So I thought I would see if anyone out there may need that elusive fourth wheel. The first caster has 1-7/16" diameter wheels. The caster has a height of just over 1.900" From the bottom of the wheel to the top of the stem is 3.600" The second caster has 1-13/16" diameter wheels. Antique Industrial Metal Wheel Casters! HUGE 8" wheels! 4 Set Table Legs
Up for sale are these 4 incredible antique casters. There are 2 pairs- one pair has asolid wheel. The other has 4 spokes. The 2 with the solid wheel measure approximately 8 1/4" in diameter and stands 14 1/4" tall, while the wheels with spokes measure approximately 8" and stand 13 3/4" tall. There are factory made holes in the bars which extend from the wheel to connect to the table/cart/etc so mounting should not be difficult. These are in beautiful industrial condition with a solid patina. Since they're so old the locking mechanisms would need some work to release the break/tighten the breaks. One is missing the upper arm to set the break(see photo) and one of the solid wheels has a yellow rust on one side. One of them has a spot that does not have rust/patina and still looks like a grey metal. These are very aged ... moreand would look incredible as legs for a table. They do swivel 360 degrees. They have some slight surface rust attached and will need to be cleaned. Each wheel has ball bearings that make the wheels swivel very nice. Each has four bolts and four nuts. Threads of the bolts and nuts are in very good condition. The wheels have a 2 1/2" diameter and are 1 1/4" wide. The steel bases are 3 3/4" long and 1 1/4" wide. Vintage Industrial Antique 8" Wheel Albion Caster Heavy Duty Steampunk
This is a great 8" wheel caster marked"Albion. Perhaps it could replace one you need or it could be used as a piece of decor. It measures about 10.25" tall from plate to wheel bottom. The mounting plate is 6.25" x 4.5" with mounting holes in the corners about 3" and 5.25" apart on center. The caster is rusty. But the wheel does turn with some effort. Incredibly unique Antique or vintage or machine age or industrial revolution cast iron heavy duty double wheel industrial swivel casters patent date of MAY 1 1877 Mounting plate also is designed to pivot with slotted hole and plate bears on a rotating disc to distribute/ carry load Mounting plates are all clearly marked with"PAT MAY 1 1877" Each Mounting plate assembly consists of 4 pieces Only other marking is a"5" on the carrier body for the wheels cast into the piece Mounting plate is 2 inches in diameter and nearly 1/4 inch thick with two mounting holes. And one central hole for locating pin Patent date appears to be cast in and not later stamped. But is very crisp Natural patina. Very old typical condition for period pieces A couple"bites" on a couple wheels from use All wheels rotate just fine and pivot ... morejust fine. Also Bearing discs/ wheels all rotate just fine. 4 Antique Vintage Large Cast Iron Industrial Casters Cart Wheels Salvage Parts
This is a nice set of 4 antique heavy duty cast iron caster wheels. They are in good condition. They swivel and roll smooth. The wheel itself is approx. 3 inches by 1 1/4 inches. They measure approx. 4 1/4 inches tall. The mounting piece measures approx. 4 1/4 inches by 3 1/4 inches. It is marked on mounting plate 1050 3 A 3. Each caster wheel weighs approx. 3 3/4 pounds. They are marked Bond 1018 on the wheel. The swivel part has ball bearings. The wheel has a hole in it for oiling. We have cleaned most of the grease and grime from these. But they still need some rust cleaned off. This is a very nice heavy duty set of wheel casters. Guaranteed to be old and original. Satisfaction guaranteed. Shipping is $1 1.30.
