This lot contains six matching heavy duty swivel wheel casters. All marked"Bassick USA" on the stem. The bases- four mounting screw holes to each one- are made of steel and the ball wheels appear to be made of brass. To make it easier to steer and navigate, they have a two-way swivel action- one half of the wheel swivels inside the other, while the whole wheel swivels against the base. Because they are made in two halves, the wheels don't form a perfect circle, but the diameter, depending on where you measure it, falls within the range of 2" and 2½" The bases are about 1½" x 1½" They all appear to be in generally good and functional condition. Vintage Industrial Factory Cast Iron Swivel Casters Bassick #477 Huge 3-1/2"
Four cast iron industrial Bassick casters acquired at an industrial salvage auction. The Bassick Caster Company manufactured casters in Bridgeport. CT and is no longer in existence. These casters are huge and from what I have learned, I believe they probably came from an industrial factory cart. The iron wheels measure 3-1/2" in diameter and each caster weighs well over 6 pounds. They all roll and swivel as they should. Each has a grease fitting and the ball bearings can be seen under the edge of their enclosures. They are marked in more than one place with the manufacturer's name; and the part#477 is prominently stamped on one end of the bases. There are other numbers in various places which are likely part numbers for other components. There is heavy patina/rust and minor visible wear to the wheels. Swivel Casters Bassick #477 3-3/4" x 1 1/2" wide
Four industrial Bassick casters. The Bassick Caster Company manufactured casters in Bridgeport. CT and is no longer in existence. The poly wheels measure 3-3/4" in diameter and each caster weighs well over 6 pounds. the over all hieght is just over 5 inches. Tread width is 1.5 inches while the wheel is about 3.75" diameter. If you need a better measurement, please ask. auction is for ALL FOUR casters as pictured They all roll and swivel as they should, each has a grease fitting and the ball bearings can be seen under the edge of their enclosures. They are marked in more than one place with the manufacturer's name; and the part#477 is prominently molded on one end of the base.

I am selling Two(2) Vintage Bassick MH338 Fixed Metal& Hard Rubber 3" Casters. May have been painted gray. Purchased from a machine shop going out of business. Used on a floor tool to move it around the shop like a dolly. Please look at the pictures carefully, I try to take the best photos to highlight the item.
