Up for auction is a pair of mis-matched dual wheel casters. The casters are a magnetic steel with a rusted bronze looking finish. Bothe sets have wood wheels with a very beautiful grain(see pictures 4& 5) These were left over from a project. I always seem like I can't find that fourth caster to finish a project. So I thought I would see if anyone out there may need that elusive fourth wheel. The first caster has 1-7/16" diameter wheels. The caster has a height of just over 1.900" From the bottom of the wheel to the top of the stem is 3.600" The second caster has 1-13/16" diameter wheels. To save you on the shipping I’ll ship these in a large flat rate box with a ¼” lauwn“plywood” bottom and sides for extra support. These have grease fittings on both the bases and the wheels as can be seen in the pictures, although I did not try to put any grease in them and one of the base fittings is missing. All of the wheels have some degree of rust and pitting with one wheel having a significant ... moreamount to one section and loss of metal as seen in the picture. I took extra pictures of this one so you’d have some idea of its condition. Also one other wheel has a dimple in it about the size of a dime. The wheels are easily changed out by removing one bolt and nut if you ever needed to. All 4 wheels turn freely and swivel smoothly. The wheels are about 4” in diameter and the base is 5 ¼” x 3 7/8” and the center to center of the attachment holes are 3 5/8” x 2 5/8” The number 477 is on the base. Oil has been applied but they should have a final cleaning and clear coated or painted for continued protection. Please take a look at the many other antique hardware items I have listed. Incredibly unique Antique or vintage or machine age or industrial revolution cast iron heavy duty double wheel industrial swivel casters patent date of MAY 1 1877 Mounting plate also is designed to pivot with slotted hole and plate bears on a rotating disc to distribute/ carry load Mounting plates are all clearly marked with"PAT MAY 1 1877" Each Mounting plate assembly consists of 4 pieces Only other marking is a"5" on the carrier body for the wheels cast into the piece Mounting plate is 2 inches in diameter and nearly 1/4 inch thick with two mounting holes. And one central hole for locating pin Patent date appears to be cast in and not later stamped. But is very crisp Natural patina. This is a nice set of 4 antique heavy duty cast iron caster wheels. They are in good condition. They swivel and roll smooth. The wheel itself is approx. 3 inches by 1 1/4 inches. They measure approx. 4 1/4 inches tall. The mounting piece measures approx. 4 1/4 inches by 3 1/4 inches. It is marked on mounting plate 1050 3 A 3. Each caster wheel weighs approx. 3 3/4 pounds. They are marked Bond 1018 on the wheel. The swivel part has ball bearings. The wheel has a hole in it for oiling. We have cleaned most of the grease and grime from these. But they still need some rust cleaned off. This is a very nice heavy duty set of wheel casters. Guaranteed to be old and original. Satisfaction guaranteed. Shipping is $1 1.30. These came off of an old railroad baggage/freight cart. They are in useable condition. They need cleaning. The wheels measure 12" in diameter and are 2" wide. They mount on the axle with a primitive bearing system. Please see pictures. The axle measures 27 1/2" long overall. The axle shaft is 1" in diameter. I've seen these used frequently for hit& miss engine carts. They are heavy duty and could handle a lot of weight. They have remnants of orange paint on them but it's mostly gone. Age unknown. Great vintage antique cast iron caster. It has a 6' diameter wheel. This is a fixed caster. The wheel turns but it is not a swivel caster. I would guess it came off an industrial cart. It could be used to repair your cart, add to others to build a new cart or as an art piece.

Four rusty vintage/antique metal casters with original screws
These four caster are off of an old auto mechanics creeper. This auction is for the four casters and the 16 original screws that held the on. The creeper is NOT included. The wheels each have the words'Roll-Over Rollers' on them. They are rusty but operational. Having the original screws is a big plus, they are just as rusty as the casters and will obviously match perfectly with your project. This is for the casters you see here. Not positive how old these are. Confident they are very old. Just not sure exactly how old. Heavy. In good condition, as you can see. Could stand to be cleaned. They are just as I found them. The wheels are approximately 3" diameter. The bases are 4.5" long x 2.75" wide at the widest. You can see"M 7" on the bottom of each one. Not sure what it is.
