This is a used dial calliper by Mitutoyo. 0-150 mm and calibrated on the dial to 0.05 mm( see photos) It does have some cosmetic marks and is engraved on the back of the jaws. It is made of hardened stainless and is a great little tool for those quick metric measurements: inside-outside and depth, ideal for any Tool Maker or Machinist. This used Starrett sheet metal micrometer has a deep 6 inch throat ideal for measuring formed steel parts. It has a rounded anvil and a flat end on the spindle. Graduated in 0.001" and retails new for around $325.00. Although used this micrometer is in great condition but does have some engraving on the body and a slight mark on the thimble( see photo# 5 above) but this does not effect the use or accuracy of the micrometer. Has a knurled locknut and a ratchet thimble. A great used tool for any Machinist or Tool Maker. Unfortunately no case with this tool. Offered are 2 vintage micrometer caliper tools- Scherr ST Tumico Inc and S.T. Starrett Co. The Scherr Comes with its original box and original paperwork. Besides the number/measurement markings it is marked"Scherr Tumico IncST James Minn. USA" The Starrett has the number/measurement markings as well as"The L.S Starrett Co Athol. Mass. U.S.A Made in the USA" The tools show little to no wear. They are in READY TO USE even though they are vintage condition! The original paperwork/directions for use is very detailed on how to use it and then has some"advertisements" for other tools available. These came from an estate that had a large machinists toolbox(that although was metal it had no rust) and all the tools were barely used. It had al kinds of paperwork(most of which I may eventually list) about conversions. Procedures/directions, ... moreworkbook/textbooks and everything was dated early 1970's. Both heads are in good condition& move smoothly but the rod in one doesn't want to pull out. I will use some penetrating oil to loosen it up. Other head is fine& this came from an estate sale.
