Beautiful old swivel chair. All hardware is original and fantastic oak grain with great patina. I've owned it for about 15 years and bought it from an antique shop in Fredericksburg. VA. I expect it to be 1910s-1930s( and it's in the style of a bankers or library chair. It is stamped with HQ 102(headquarters) I've used this first as a desk chair and later as an accent piece. Offered for Sale is this 1960's- 1970's Post- Modern Plastic and Vinyl Swivel Lounge Chair. In White Plastic and Black Vinyl, Professionally Restored. There are four illegible numbers that are stamped on the base of the seat; and, one of the removable cushions has a tag that lists"Decorion Fun Furnishings, 1690 South Green Street, Tupelo, Mississippi. There are no other identifying marks on either the chair or the cushions. Dimensions are: width of the seat cushion is 18" The width measuring from the outside of the arms is 35" The depth of the chair is 27" The height to the seat from the floor is 12" and the height to the top of the back from the floor is 34 1/2"The base unit is 21 3/4" in diameter. The seat cushion and the back cushion have a leather grain. Are removable, and have zippered backs. ... moreThey're original and without any cracks or tears. The arm cushions are attached to the chair, have more of a smooth surface, and are replacements, duplicates of the originals. The person that does my upholstery work did an excellent job at this duplication. The underseat metal chairs rails have been repainted the original white. The metal arms that support the chair rails have been repainted the original black. What is common on this type of furniture are stress cracks in the plastic bases, usually in the column that surrounds the steel and plastic swivel post. There were stress cracks in the base of this seat as well; the base was taken to a plastic welder, where the cracks were filled in, sanded smooth, and then additional plastic was added to the stress area internally that surrounds the swivel post- please see the pictures. There was also a crack at the edge of the base- this too was repaired- see the last photo. The repairs are not noticable unless you physically examine the base at close range; the gentleman that did the welding did an excellent job. There are no issues with the chair itself. The fabric and foam are the original upholstery. So in a few spots the fabric is thinner in tension areas, and the foam has"vintage" ... morehardening. The legs of both pieces. And the forearms of the chair, are walnut. The chair and footstool both swivel a full 360 degrees. The tall chair measures about 46 inches(3'10" tall. 30 inches(2'6" wide, and 30 inches(2"6" deep. O verall the stool is sturdy and in good condition with some imperfections due to age and wear- please see pictures. I have two as shown but this listing is for just one of them. The joints have metal brackets as shown. I have not tried to take them off but they both need some TLC. Also.On one of them two of the castors come off if you lift up the chair but I'm sure this is an easy fix. It looks like they were adjustable at one time but someone put brackets on the bottom to keep it from adjusting. I took quite a few pictures to show any damage and the brackets. Do More Vintage Swivel. Rolling Office Chair Great Art Deco lines in this vintage office chair! This model appears in Do-More's old advertising starting in the 1930's. But I can't find any dates on this chair. It is really comfortable to sit in-you can raise or lower the seat level and the back-rest can be adjusted to fit your posture. The chair swivels and has casters for rolling around. The back rest also swivels completely around(see the picture where I show it perpendicular to the floor. The upholstery is a tweed type material in orange/brown/black. The outdoor photos show the color the best. I don't know if this is the original upholstery or not. The steel base and back supports are painted black. Approximate Measurements: Seat 17.5" wide by 12.5" deep. Cushion is about 3" thick. Backrest 13.75" wide ... moreby 7" high. For auction is one vintage. 1960s-era All Steel Equipment metal swivel chair in fantastic original condition. It is painted a silvery gray color and is upholstered in green vinyl. The upholstery is in perfect condition; not a stitch out of place and free rips, nicks or stains. There is one faint scratch on the back of the back pad, which you can see in the photos. The beautiful, curved base features black plastic protector plates on the ends, and the armrests are made of the same black plastic. The metal parts are free of dings and dents, and the paint is in excellent condition overall, though there are small scuffs and scratches common to use. Much less than one would expect on a chair this age, however. The majority of the scratches are confined to the area where the armrests attach to the backrest(see photos) All mechanical features function ... moreproperly. This chair shows some wear from use but is in very nice condition. There are no tears or holes in the orange material. There are a couple of minor spots from use. A very comfortable swivel chair that has a nice reclining position, could be used like a Lounge Chair or for a desk due the dimensions and height. As you can see in the pictures, the condition is excellent without any repair, structurally sounds good. I take care of it with lemon oil(English Oil) and is very good conserved also) The molded wood. Walnut finish, is in excellent vintage condition, no cracks, no scratches specially on legs and in the back where almost this chairs are in bad condition. As everybody knows the original upholstery was Vinyl, it was re-upholstered with genuine Raccoon Fur to repurpose it. Its available for local pick up or I could delivery it by Greyhound(Harrisburg Station) for $50.
