Like anything that is over 70-80 years old. It has some ... morenicks, scratches and such. However on the whole it is in really nice shape as well as being very clean. The stool has some rust spots where the paint has warn away over time on it as are visible in the pictures. But nothing out of the ordinary for its age. It has been well cared for, but has that desired aged look where you can tell it has been around. The sticker fell off it at some point. I took a picture of the spot before wiping it off so you can see it was a real Toledo stool. If you have ever seen the sticker between the 2 rivets you can see the outline there to know that it was once on there many years ago. It will make a great addition to someone who is looking for a vintage piece like this that can appreciate its"character" and imperfections. While being proud to have a clean functional example of a timeless drafting stool. As far as shipping. In the past what I have done is take the back riser part off as it is easily removable, so that I can properly box the stool to be able to ship it anywhere in the continental U.S for a reasonable price. The buyer will have to put the back riser back on, but it is only held on by 4 bolts and is easily done. Trying to ship it any other way is far too costly and just not practical given the size. Vintage Industrial Drafting Stool Adjustable Drafting Chair Metal Wood
This is a vintage industrial metal and wood. Office/drafting stool/chair. It is a swivel chair with adjustments for changing the position of the back rest. While the chair itself raises and lowers on the spindle, I am not sure how to permanently adjust as I see no locking mechanism. I see no manufacturer information on the chair, only a sticker that says"twice a year grease swivel and spindle bearings" The seat is about 16" wide x 14 1/2" deep. There is a strip of the wood top missing and age appropriate wear on the rest of the chair. When the chair is in the highest position, the seat is approximately 32" high, and when it is in the lowest postition the seat is about 26" high. The backrest on the stool can be adjusted with a wing nut setup. Very minimal overall surface wear, and wood and metal are both in excellent condition. Each of the four legs has eight pre-drilled holes so that the height can be adjusted- this is done simply with two screws on each leg. At the lowest level, with the legs completely removed, the stool measures 23" high(not including the backrest) and 37 1/2" high(with the backrest) At the highest level, the stool measures 31" not including the backrest) and 45 1/4" with the backrest) ... moreMeasures 16 1/2" wide and 19" deep(including foot/back rests) Wooden stool top is 13 1/4" in diameter. Up for sale is a Bevco industrial chair. According to the stamp on the underside. This chair was made on January, 1993. It stands about 32” from the back rest and 20” up from the seat. The seat is 15.5” wide and 13” long. The frame is made of steel and the backrest 7 seat are made of finished plywood. The back rest can be adjusted and the seat pivots 360 degrees. This chair is used with normal shop wear, such as surface scratches, paint wear& light corrosion on bare metal spots, etc. But otherwise, it’s in hardy, non-broken shape for many, many more years of use.
