Stool has cast iron base with lion face image at the foot and a woman's image at the bend(knee) of the leg as pictured. Stool itself is made of wood with fabric seat cover, trimmed in gold fringe. Seat is rip free and unstained and fringe is intact but could use a tack or two to be complete. Height is adjustable up and down by spinning the seat up or down. Offering for sale a Authentic Antique J. Briggs Piano Stool. The underside of the seat base plate has the following stamped into it's steel plate: J. Briggs. Warran, Ind. October 23, 1866, Piano Stool, Dec' 10, 1867, Patent Peterboro, N.H" I'm guessing one of the dates is the'Patent Date' and the other the date of actual manufacturer. However, I'm not an antique expert so I really am guessing? It is authentic and original. Except for the wood seat which is made of plywood. Someone along the stools long history has replaced the wood seat top. All the bolts, and the wood pedestal appear to be original, including the three iron legs. I believe the legs are made of cast iron? The wood pedestal has a pretty large crack in it, so it would have to be repaired if you actually intend to use it for sitting. The wood is ... morerough, I would be rough too if I were that old. Hehe! I'm really looking for a serious buyer who can restore this beauty or leave it intact with the intent of preserving its history. Vintage Hollywood Regency style metal stool in very good estate condition. There is some paint loss to the metal base. It is more prevalent on the feet. Please see pictures. The stool features a swank crossed sword motif with a leopard print fabric seat. This is a great decorative design that would blend well with any décor. There is a small circular hole on three of the sword handles. It is unclear if this was part of the design or their function. They may have held a tassel. Antique Wood and Iron Stool Nice find. This is a old stool that looks like it was made for commercial use. It has a heavy metal base that I think is iron. On the bottom of the stand are holes to bolt it to the floor. There is a wood round seat that has a metal piece that fits into the base. The seat is a nice solid wood with a ringed pattern around the edge and a great original patina. There is an old cut on the edge of the wood on one side- it does not affect the sturdiness of the piece. As you can see in the pictures, the seat comes out of the base. In very nice antique condition, this piece can be used as a stool- it also makes a nice little table, plant stand, lamp stand, etc. Stool measures 26.5" tall to the top of the seat. Vintage CAMEL Saddle stool BENCH, Morrocan Leather Decorated, Base folds
This is a Camel saddle from the Middle East. Probably. It has no markings that I can read. The painted leather seat looks like a good grade of Morrocan leather. The sides show a respectable amount of wear which makes me think it dates to the mid 20th century. The brass caps on each end are worn and the design hard to make out. I thought it was writing, but in the photo it looks more like a tree. The Cedar is the symbol for Lebanon, so this might have been made there. That's strictly a guess. It measures about nineteen inches by eleven inches and stands thirteen inches tall. Email if you have questions.
