Description" Straight out of an old machine shop here in my neighborhood I have this fantastic old stool that is the epitome of the machine age era. Sturdy and straight forward with simple yet ornate design. Thick wall tubing and rod. And thick plate for the seat. All original paint without any paint over and solid as can be. Between the ware shows a nice metallic oxidation and overall original aged patina. Outstanding! It's over 2 feet high as pictured and can be spun down to about 19" high. I am pleased to offer you this classic vintage industrial designed drafting chair. Manufactured by UHL Toledo Metal Furniture Company between 1930-40's. I have a total of 3 of these stationary chairs. I am selling each one INDIVIDUALLY through auction. The chair is adjustable in height with an adjustable backrest. The bentwood seat and back appears to be walnut. The chair is not restored, not a reproduction, all original right down to army green paint that was applied the day it was produced out of the factory. The chair is marked with TOLEDO label. Expect chair to show age related wear, a nice amount of patina. No breaks, or split in wood. Chair has not been cleaned up, I will leave that to the new owner. The chair is stationary. No swivel, the chair is easy to adjust adjust from 19 1/2" to 22 1/2" high.

Antique Steampunk Industrial Machine Age Drafting Chair Heywood Bro Wakefield Co
Here we have a great Machine Age adjustable and reclining chair made by Heywood Brothers& Wakefield Co. As you can see in photo 12 the chair is signed on the knob as well as stamped in the wood above it. This chair has a great look with cast iron. Steel, wood and the seat is woven. The seat is about 16 1/4 inches in diameter as shown in the photos the back of the chair is about 34 1/2 inches tall and the seat is about 18 inches high but it seems that the chair's height can be raised and lowered. As you can see from the photos there is some damage to the seat of the chair and the back of the chair is a little wobbly. Also there is a crack and the wood that can be viewed in the last photo. Because of it's size and delicate nature this item can only be picked up locally. The last two digits of the serial number are 65, so it may have been made in 1965. That would make it almost 50 years old or an antique. Cool Chair in great shape. All original. Has paper on underside of chair for DoMore Chairs. Elkhart Indiana. One metal pin has been used to replace a screw but I left it because it could easily replaced but works just fine in place of a screw. There is one little tear in the vinyl seat but no material is missing. Like a pencil eraser size flap. I tried to take good pictures to show condition and detail. ca 1940s TOLEDO DRAFTING CHAIR or STOOL Mid Century Industrial Machine Age
A Nice Toledo Metal Furniture Company. Metal and Wood Drafting Chair or Stool. Structure is very sound with a classic mid century industrial design. This chair has a very basic height adjustment mechanism which is performed by placing the bolts on the side plate under the seat either up or down. Perhaps this is an earlier design than the spindle turn adjustments which are faster to operate and perhaps newer. The back support is adjusted by simply moving up or down the back board when nut is loosened. Please look at the eBay pictures for more details. The wood is in good used condition with no buckling or splits however the lumbar plate appears to have had cosmetic repairs as there is some putty or filler residue noticed. see pictures) The feet are swivel pads rather than wheels. Vintage Industrial GF Goodform Aluminum Metal Drafting Swivel Stool Chair McM
For auction is one rare vintage GF Goodform model 2121-28 drafting stool in excellent original condition. It has been disassembled. Thoroughly cleaned and detailed, and reassembled. The threaded stem has been cleaned and re-lubricated and functions smoothly. All other mechanical functions operate as they should. The original dark blackish-green vinyl is in good shape and all stitching is intact. There is a very faint ring on the seat as well as a few other spots that wouldn't come out with cleaning, but nothing too glaring. There is also one small 1/4" tear on the top edge of the backrest. The underside of the seat has been covered with clear tape to prevent dust from falling out the vent holes. The aluminum parts have average wear and a few scratches here and there, but the close ups I've provided show good examples of the overall ... morecondition. Dimension: The seat height adjusts from 28" to 34" And the seat pad is 17" wide by 16" deep. Backrest cushion is 15" wide by 11" tall. Industrial Vtg Steam Punk Metal Drafting Workbench Chair
Vtg Steampunk Metal Drafting/Workbench Stool/Chair H 25" Seat Diameter 14" Bottom Diameter 16" This is a terrific vintage metal stool. I'm unsure of the age here however. I think it's a bit more recent than the retro period based on the tag on the underside of the stool which I've pictured. It's in good used condition with a good bit of patina which I think adds to it's character. The seat is made of a thin hardboard and is stained. There is staining and light rust particularly to the bottom feet. The feet are slightly bent. The stool has a bit of a wobble. They could likely be straightened although I have not attempted this.
