Original sticker on the frame stating UHL steel. Great comfortable stool with adjustable swivel seat and adjustable back. The seat height is 28 inches at the lowest and can go up about 4 to 5 inches. The seat itself is 16 inches x 14 inches. The seat has lots of wear with nicks and even looks like cigarette burns. Such patina is hard to beat! The seat has been removed for shipping. Vintage 40's Toledo Uhl Drafting Draftsman Swivel Machine Age Chair Walnut
I am very pleased to offer this all original as found signed Toledo Uhl draftsman chair that has its original finish and original paint. The chair has its classic tilt adjustable back rest with wing nut configuration and has its riser adjustment underneath for height. This one is also a swivel model. It is aprox 39 1/2" tall from floor to back of head rest and can raise aprox 5" easily with riser. The seat measures aprox 29 from seat to floor in down position and can go as high as 33" in the top notch. The chair has some minor wear at feet where you would expect from usage and age and all the pads on feet move freely. There is a small wear mark on the front of the seat from the previous owner getting on and off thru the years and you can see this in the photo. I have taken a lot of pictures showing the aspects of the chair ... moreand the condition and even the underside which has the previous owners name in pencil and a tag from the furniture company that originally sold the chair. So that you know. This chair has been in one family its entire life so it will get a new home from whoever is able to purchase this great Mid Century Modern chair. Hard plastic resin seating area is in nice original condition. This antique stool is fresh out of the woodwork and really has the look. I found it in an attic and it belonged to the mans grandfather who was a draftsman. Cast iron with oak seat and back. Mounted on an old shipping box and looks like its been on it forever. I think the coolest thing is the cover. Its nice and worn but very solid and not damaged. It has cool brass eyelets on sides. I peeked under it and the oak seat looks like new under it. Looks like the cover has been on this stool since it was made. I have seen stools like this before but never with a cover on it. There is no damage to the piece at all. No cracks or repairs to wood or cast iron. It swivels and is adjustable. As it stands it is 41" high not counting the base. I'm sure it adjusts higher or lower. The seat is approx. 13" in dia. Total weight is 37.6 lbs. It ... morecan be picked locally here in Rhode Island but I will ship anywhere in the USA. This is a scandiavian furniture set. It's a single bed with a trundle bed that slide underneath. The trundle bed does have legs that pop up so that it's normal bed height. There is a drafting table desk and coordinating chair. The desk lays flat or pops up to various degree angles to make it more a drafting type table. The height of the table top is adjustable. There is a two drawer unit that hooks on the cross desk bar and can go on the left or right. There is also a groove at the top for holding pens. Etc. The chair is a swivel chair on 4 wheels that has an adjustable height and back height. The top of the desk is black the rest is a medium wood tone. I'm not sure of the manufacturer. This is an original 1920's vintage UHL American industrial"posture line" factory industrial chair. Please refer to pictures as they are a big part of the description. Chairs are in very good structual condition. Walnut chair seat and back are in great condition in relation to these chairs age. Metal shows surface rust in places as pictured. But I have decided to leave them in as found condition with the green paint with light rust as some prefer the patina that comes with age. Original rubber feet with the words"Pussyfoot" and"Toledo Metal Co. are imprinted into the rubber. These chairs fabricated ... morearound 1922-25 by The Toledo Metal Furniture Co. This factory office chair was made according to the recommendations of the American Posture League of New York City. Its use brings the pelvis in right relation to the spine. So that one's weight is distributed over the pelvis and thighs. Nearly all parts of the chair are comprised of steel, cold rolled and die formed. The base is rigidly braced and has long wearing quality. The braces which make the base rigid are held in place by retainers set inside the"u" shaped legs, so that there is no pivoting motion to weaken the construction. The back wire or spring support is made of spring steel and yields pleasantly to the pressure of the body. Four bolts with large size wing nuts hold the seat and"spider" in the base of the chair. Adjustment of height is accomplished by removing the wing nuts and bolts, setting at proper heights and replacing the bolts. The seat should always be level, which is assured by seeing that the same number of holes appear above or below the brace on each leg of the large steel channel which furnishes the adjustment. As it sits right now it measures 30" from ground to top of the back and the seat is 18" tall. The chair is in overall good condition, there is one small tear on the seat as shown in one of the pictures, otherwise in very good condition.

I have lots of Mid Century and commercial stuff listed and more on the way including more UHL stools. This is an early chair with the brass tag on the back you can never find. the seat has normal chipping but restored this will be a gem and you can still use it as is if you wish.

LOCAL PICK UP ONLY! This drafting table is made of solid oak and is in excellent condition! It is 30" deep. 58.5" wide, and 31" tall. Has adjustable legs to raise it taller or to disassemble to move it. The back of the table top can be adjusted upwards in order raise it at an angle as well. It has 2 drawers. I could not find a makers mark. 7 notches for height adjustment. Tag states Property of United States Government- Navy Seat Measures 14.5 inches diameter Foot Rest Ring Measures 16 inches diameter Feet are approximately 15 inches on square. Lowest seat setting is 25.33 inches(seat to floor) Highest seat setting is 29.75 inches(seat to floor) Weighs almost exactly 20 pounds. Item is in excellent condition for its working condition for its age and great light rust/paint loss/original wood patina. Seat is intact with no cracks.
