One(1) authentic vintage EAMES Herman Miller rare wall-saver H-base with glides. Suitable for Eames Herman Miller chairs with narrow shock mount configuration. The rear legs extend a bit further back than regular H-bases(approx. 22.5" from front to rear leg. Compared to about 18" for a standard H-base) which prevent the backs of your Eames chairs from rubbing up against the wall(hence, the"wall-saver" name) keeping both your wall and chair in optimum condition. Wall-saver H-bases were special order items and are now relatively rare. Overall excellent vintage condition with typical rust and oxidation. This I'm guessing was a base for Dentist Chair or a Barber Chair. I owned it for 15 years and for 10 years the foot pump worked then I moved it and oil spilled out- Now the foot pump does not work. If you brought the correct oil and filled it it would work perfectly guaranteed or you money back. Slight pitting in chrome. No dents. Paint is great. Very heavy 250 pounds I'm guessing. Early to mid 1900's Chrome is in pretty nice shape I did not clean it for photo.

Up for auction is an incredible survivor set of an antique 1800's schoolhouse desk and chair set in maple. This set is in very original condition with original finish and initials carved. The ink well is missing but that is about it. These go very well together and came from the same source although I cannot verify they originally worked together. The desk is marked"Chandler" and"The Boston" on the cast iron legs. There are no other markings. The bentwood chair is in excellent condition and marked"Haywood 3 Eclipse" There are signs that both desk and chair cast iron areas were once gloss black enamel. These would look so cool if repainted. No serious rust but the black is mostly gone. A wire wheel on a drill would make quick work of this. The desk measures 24" wide x 16" deep x 30" tall. Eames LKR-1 vintage wire chair with cat’s cradle base Herman Miller
For your consideration is an Eames LKR-1 wire chair with cat’s cradle base. It is pre-1957 according to the Eames office website for it’s use of jute filling) with a 1 piece(the“1” in LKR-1) fabric pad in a 2-toned brown hopsack. The chair is 100% original and as originally configured. The wire chair and cat;s cradle base are free of any breaks or repairs and are in excellent condition with only minor paint loss on the bottom as expected where the chair sits on the floor—there were no feet or pads on cat’s cradle bases. The pad has some holes and pulled strands. But is otherwise in very good shape considering it’s age. The foam rubber is dried and powdery and the jute filling is lumpy and appears to be crumbly. I can not tell for sure the interior condition of the upholstery without completely disassembling the chair. This is a 50+ year-old ... morechair and a large portion of it’s value derives from the fact that it is original. Some repair might be possible by re-weaving the damaged portions of the seat cover, but It still displays very well, and some consider the imperfections add to it’s“patina” I have seen worse examples on display in museums and Eames exhibitions like the recent Ray Eames exhibit in Sacramento. This chair would not look out of place in museum, and therefore should be viewed more as a work of art or surviving example of classic mid-century modern design, than something to sit on! The original label on the bottom attributes the chair to the Herman Miller Furniture Company. 901 W. Washington Blvd. Venice, CA which was the address of the famed Eames Office. I will disassemble the base from the chair for shipping and carefully bubble wrap the base and chair and ship it in a double thickness corrugated box. There will no doubt be some shifting of the upholstery filling and some residue in the packing of the dried powdery foam rubber. Note that I am trying to describe the condition as honestly as I can. This is a vintage funky. Retro propeller office chair made by Good Form probably in the 50's and made in Youngstown Ohio. Covered in a wild fabric not sure if it is original to the chair but it looks like it belongs on it. Called a propeller chair for obvious reasons in looks to be made of aluminum and it has casters on all four legs. The seat is 19" from the floor to the top edge and the chair swivels all the way around. I will probably need to separate the leg section from the seat portion to save on shipping. Still a heavy chair I am estimating it to cost $30 to ship close to Ohio and it will be more to go to the West Coast and SW States. I will work with you as long as you are willing to work with me. This is a mid century tanker desk chair made by All Steel. It has a cool propeller base with chrome caps and castors. Dolphin gray faux leather/vinyl upholstery. The upholstery is in good condition with no rips. There is one very small mark on the seat shown in pictures. The metal frame does have scratches and marks typical with age and use. Very heavy solid chair. Adjustable height and tilt back. The seat measures 18" L x 17" W. The arms are 27.5" off the floor in case you would like to clear a desk. The armrest pads are ripped and I took them off. The screw holes are visible from the top of the arms. They will be included if you would like to reupholster them. Another option is to cover the screw holes with metal plugs easily found. I liked it better without the pads. Will be shipped with the base removed.

Here is a Herman Miller Side Chair that were designed by Charles Eames. The shell is all original Herman Miller. They have the Herman Miller name moulded under the seat(see picture close-up) The original patent stickers at one point but have come off over the years of use. The shell is in good shape for their age all the shockmounts are glued on tight. They have some color loss on the edges. I think is normal) Other than a simple wipe and removal of some 50+ year gum I did not touch these chairs otherwise. It may need to be cleaned better and may have a fleck of paint or some gum. The base is original and different from regular Eames swivel bases in that in that its height is adjustable and it can tilt. Vtg Industrial Machine Age STURGIS Posture Chair Fiberglass propeller Base
This is a very cool industrial desk chair by the Sturgis Posture Chair Company. It's in good original condition with wear shown in photos. Everything works as it should. The chair swivels and tilts with tilt adjustment. The backrest can be moved up and down. The chairs reclining angle can be changed via a knob under the chair. And the seat height is adjustable. The vinyl does have splits at the front corners, but the seat and backrest are in good shape. Seat is inner sprung and is very comfy. Has an awesome light green fiberglass propeller base with heavy visible fibers. There are some knicks in the wheels but the chair rolls very smoothly, there are no flat spots. Base and backrest will be removed for cheaper safer shipping. Shipping via Fedex Ground within the US only.
