Up for auction is a vintage gold stamping machine. This is made by Franklin. It includes a 12 letter stamps. Some paperwork which includes the directions and a letter from the company. I do not know if this works or not as the cord is frayed so I won't even plug it in. It has a wood handle and base with a drawer. There is a roll of gold foil as well. Its needs to be organized and that's really had with how small it is. its in a box with no lid in the drawer. there are also spacers in a plastic baggie. There there is the second font(type) which is bigger and not a mess. It works.it gets hot and I stamped something however.The handle is broken off and missing. This will need to be replaced or you will need something like tongs to list it up while stamping because it gets HOT. The handle will need to be soldered on! Also bottom of machine is worn and wood is cracked. doesn't affect anything but you can see if its flipped over. Up for your consideration is this Franklin Signet Embosser with 4 rolls of foils. I do not know much about this product other than what it is labeld and reading about similar products here on e-Bay. I've taken several pictures to hopefully help you determine if all parts are there and for you to decide the condition you feel it is in. I have plugged it in and it DOES heat up. I will try to describe this to the best of my knowledge and the condition I see it in. If you would like more info or more detailed pictures please let me know. This item is labled Franklin MFG. Corp Norwood Masss. U.S.A. U.S. Pat. 2025691 CAN. Pat. 365284. On the handle it is marked Franklin Signet Embosser. The power switch features off.Low,med,high options. I only plugged it in and put it on high and the machine did get hot. As you can see in the pictures the ... morecord is frayed some near the power switch, I think it is just the insulation to the cord as this powered up and there were no sparks or sizzling noises. The wooden case is in sturdy, solid condition with a drawer for suppllies. The paint has rubbed off some and there are some surface scratches. Included are 4 rolls of Dura foil. The silver colored roll is unused and labeled Dura Colored Foil. There are 3 gold foil rolls, 2 are used and 1 is unused and labeled 23K Dura Gold Leaf. There are also several cardboard like pieces that look like slides to a microscope. The machine itself feels solid and the handle moves freely. The black knob on the side also turns but could use some oil. There is light surface rust on the light metal colored pieces that may or may not come off. The wooden base measures 9.25" long, 6.5" wide and 2.5" tall. Please look at the pictures to determine if this is complete. I am selling this AS IS and how you see it in the pictures. I honestly do not know the value of this item with the foils so I will accept the best offer. The research we found online shows the set(in 1992) on a Franklin Dura Cast Typesets Price sheet sold for $55.00 and included only 13 of the Fraternal Emblem dies. I do not know anything about these machines. I can tell you when I plugged it in it heated up. I apologize but I do not have any instructions for it but suspect they can be found online. Franklin Signet Imprinting Hot Foil Emossing Embosser Stamp Type Machine. This machine has been tested and is working. Plugged the unit on high for a few minutes and set unit to medium and used a section of scrap foil in the drawer to imprint on a piece of paper.see last picture where I embossed the words EBAY three times. This unit comes with the machine. Scrap used foils pieces in the drawer and the manual. The manual is full of embossed test prints but does not deter from reading the instructions. The machine cord is slightly stiff and somewhere half way of the cord the insulation cracked.so it is being held with electrical tape. Overall the machine has been sitting for several years in a shop so it is dusty. Few of the steel parts are showing slight signs of rust. Dimensions of unit is 7" inches tall and base is 9.25" inches ... morex 6.5" inches.

A set of brass 1 point rules for letterpress. Works great for hot stamping. I use them in my Franklin Signet embossing machine to do rules(lines) on the spines when I bookbind. But they'd look great in any embossing project. They vary in length from about 3/16 of an inch up to close to 4 inches, so you'll have a good selection of widths. I have not tested them in any machine other than my Franklin Signet. But they should work in other machines, including Kingsley, Kwikprint or others. Franklin Mfg Corp Hot Foil Stamping Embossing Imprinting Machine
I got this imprinting machine at a garage sale and have never personally used it. I assume its a hot foil stamping embossing machine but I'm not sure exactly what it does since I'm not familiar with this type of machine. Both the lights work but one knob is extremely hard to twist since the fixture is covered with some type of glue. The red on light doesn't work. I plugged it in for a few minutes and the part that does the stamping got extremely hot. I don't have a way of fully testing the machine so to be on the safe side I'm selling it as untested for parts or not working. It may have missing. Damaged or broken parts or pieces. Its dirty and could use a good cleaning. As far as condition goes the pics say it all so zoom in and take a closer look. Lightbulbs are not included. Up for your consideration is a Franklin Mfg Corp Hot Stamping Machine. Model 5928UM. The label reads: For 23K Dura Gold Leaf, turn to 35. For Dura colored Foils turn to 50. Adjust up or down for best results. Blurry imprint.Reduce Heat. Incomplete Imprint.Increase Heat. The machine has some silver colored roll on it. There is a very small amount of roll on it. Also included are two boxes of Franklin stamps#3682. One box is lower case letters and the other is upper case letters. The upper case box is missing the letter Z. I don't know how many pieces are supposed to be in the box, what you see is what is included. It may be missing pieces. This came from an auction. I have not used it, I am unsure how to use it. FRANKLIN Signet HOT Foil EMBOSSER + 4 Foil ROLLS
The temperature settings switch works. There is a small chunk broken out of the housing. As you can see, I didnt get a full print on paper. Maybe the letters need shimmed a little to make better contact- they dont look worn. There are 4 partial rolls, 1 silver and 3 gold. The only letters I have are"LEATHER BY JOHN" If I missed anything.
