I am offering the Anelva ION pump system components displayed in the photo as a single lot for restoration purposes. The Ion pump controllers are designed to be powered from a 100 Volt 50/60 Hz line source. These components were parted from an experimental apparatus. And include the following: 2) PIC O50 NP Ion pump controllers with pump HV cables, 2) Noble Ion pumps: type 912-7130S and type 912-7120. The type 912-7130S is a 30 L/S pump; the type 912-7120 is a 20 L/S pump. These earlier vintage Anelva components would benefit from routine maintenance& calibration. For c ontroller S/N U-5871233. 5.22 kV is measured at the output connector. But the panel meter indicates a voltage greater than 10 kV when the VOLTAGE control momentary switch is pushed. For controller S/N U-5871232. 5.24 kV is measured at the output connector. And the panel ... moremeter indicates 5.8 kV when the VOLTAGE control momentary switch is push ed. The Bakeout heaters for the ion pumps are held in place by large metal brackets- see photos. The heaters are wired in parallel. However, the heater power supply is not available& hence not included in this sale. Note that the gauge cables are included, however, the pressure gauges are not available and hence not included in this sale. Besides a few scuffs& scratches in places from handling& slight rust/oxidation to the steel fan guards. These components are offered in good physical condition; the controls, interconnecting cables, and the analog panel meters are mechanically sound- see photos. Again. This unit is designed for 100 V/60 Hz operation. Operation from a 120 volt line may cause irreparable damage. 100 V/60 Hz for testing was provided by a VARIAC.

But I don’t know the brand or the model number as whatever markings it may have had appear to have fallen off. Most inconvenient. One side of the pump body is stamped 4R 215. But that may easily be a serial number or something totally unrelated, so I cannot even assure you that it is a model 4R 215. Hopefully somebody out there will recognize it and be able to pass that info along. The shape of the pump body itself is pretty distinctive. It looks like it just slides down inside the magnet assembly and is held in place by one allen screw on either side. This is pretty small by ion pump standards as I think you can see in the picture. Veeco Diffusion pump, MKS Ion gauge controller, Hastings Vac gauge, Liq. N2 Trap
Vintage Veeco Diffusion pump system. MKS Ion Gauge controller with cables. A Hastings vacuum gauge with cables and a liquid Nitrogen trap. This was removed from service for cleaning and maintenance. It has remained in storage since, without any service being performed. I have powered up the MKS and it's display comes right on. The cooling fan mounted on the pump works also. The power cord for the Hastings vacuum gauge needs replacing, as well as the power cord for the pump. These are relatively minor repairs. The pump was working beautifully before being removed from service. There are also many spare parts, gaskets, and O-rings for servicing/maintaining the unit. There are a total of 4 MKS Ion gauges included.one mounted in the pump, and three spares. One of the spares needs cleaning. This unit was used for evacuating spinning band distillation ... morecolumns after being silvered. The unit was mounted in a heavy base cabinet that was too big for the purpose and is not included. Other than that, the only thing not included is the rough pump. These are readily available here on eBay. The unit is capable of a ten to the minus eight torr vacuum. Unit is heavy and will be properly crated at no additional cost for shipment via UPS. USA sales only, sold as is.

But it is a Perkin Elmer product, says so on the flange. As well as 13918 DI. Which I assume to be the model number. Comes with the Varian valve assembly attached as pictured. Untested. Sold as is, and NO warranty is offered. However. IF you pay the asking price and find it has a problem you cannot live with within 14 days of receipt you may return it.
