Working Millipore Labscale TFF System with 500 mL reservoir, useful as a scalable and compact system to use with Millipore Pellicon XL filter devices for preparing samples or to begin scale-up process development when working with protein-based(or other macromolecule) solutions. The Labscale TFF system can be operated in concentration mode or continuous diafiltration mode. The specially designed reservoir mates perfectly with the Pellicon XL elements and mates onto the base of the unit. Where contents can be stirred with the included mixing module. The integral diaphragm pumping unit allows for short connection lengths, making a compact system with low working and hold-up volumes. Pressure ... moregauges on the inlet and outlet of the retentate side, along with the pressure building valve, allow for process control and development. This is a small, compact unit with a footprint of only 8.5" x 11" allowing the TFF operation to occur within a small space on the lab bench. Overall the unit was received in good condition with some minor surface blemishes. Similar to other units listed on Ebay. The cheap panel-mounted power supply connector to the unit was partially broken. I refurbished this by replacing the connection with a durable metallic connector and"field-wireable" termination on the power supply that is superior(see pictures) I purchased necessary luer-lock connectors and 1/4" x 1/8" silicone tubing needed to make basic connections to demonstrate the unit pumps fluid, stirs, and can build pressure as it should.
