Vintage Cake Saver. Cover. Marked lightly on bottom of wood base plate and hard to read, I think it is"Empeco" also has quite a bit more hard to read writing. Tin/metal cover with glass knob. Base plate is made of wood(very unusual) Rare type. Hard to find. 13 inch diameter and 5 inches tall overall excluding the top knob. Wood base plate diameter is 13 inches. Metal cover is 12 inch diameter at bottom and slopes upward to 10 1/2 inch diameter on top. It weighs about 3 pounds. Color is a bit darker green than it appears in photos. I do not see any serious dents to the metal. There is some paint loss most notable on top with heavy wear to the paint around the glass knob. Has a nice floral stem and leaf pattern that was possibly hand painted. The wood base plate was made wood strips that were joined togeather. One of the joints in ... moreparticular is separating(see photo#7) but it is still sturdy and sound. I have made note of any breaks. Damages, or repairs that I see. Server is chrome finished with dark wood knob and handles that we believe to be made from Walnut. Measurements: 10” across from handle to handle. And about 8” tall. There are no dents or dings. The rubber seal around the top is still in excellent shape and pliable. The beautifully styled wooden handles and knob are in great condition; still deeply stained and with a beautiful grain and stepped design. There are some light surface scratches in a very few places. This is a beautiful Vintage Chrome West Bend PENGUIN Ice Bucket insulated Hot& Cold Server with Bakelite Handles and Knob. It is rare to find one of these in such wonderful. Excellent condition. This is an iconic 1960s ice bucket that was a perfect match for the vintage penguin shaped martini shaker and the Silver banded roly-poly drink glasses as seen in"Mad Men" This Penguin Ice-Bucket is in Excellent condition. No scratches on upper area, no stains, bakelite knob& handle in perfect condition, rubber gasket around the inner edge of the ice bucket is in very good condition. There is very minor scratching on the bottom of the ice bucket. Photos show a great deal of reflection, but Please look closely at the PHOTOS to see the fine condition of this vintage item.

It is about 10 inches long from end to end.The working surface is 4-7/8 inches long by 2 inches wide tapering down the 3/8 inch rounded point. There is a slot with a knob for gently pushing off the cake onto a plate. On the bottom of the knob is a rubberized pad so not to score up anything. It is marked" STAINLESS STEEL.
